Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have received mixed reviews from the public ever since they tied the knot back in 2018. Harry and Meghan stepped back from their roles as senior royals in 2020, and although they have been living a much quieter life in Montecito, the two still are constantly getting press attention — both positive and negative.
Now, Harry and Meghan are at the center of a new German documentary about the royal family and the Sussexes. And while the info within the documentary remains unclear, sources claim the two are not happy about being at the center of someone else’s film.

British royal family news reveals that if all goes according to plan, Meghan Markle’s new lifestyle show begins filming tomorrow–just not at her house.
The Duchess of Excess is shilling a Netflix show that purports to be all about her mad cooking skills and insane gardening hacks but heaven forbid she dirty her own kitchen or trod her own yard.
The Daily Mail notes that the unnamed show is due to start filming on Tuesday April 16, “but viewers hoping that it will give them a glimpse into Meghan’s enviable lifestyle are going to be left sorely disappointed.”

Following their decision to step down from royal duties and move to America in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed a lucrative deal with streaming giant Netflix for upwards of $100 million. In late 2022, their six-part docuseries Harry & Meghan was released and became one of the most-watched documentaries on the platform.
However, the Sussexes’ next project Live to Lead, featuring interviews with Greta Thunberg and Jacinda Ardern, did not find popularity with audiences. Nor did another documentary showcasing Prince Harry’s Invictus Games titled Heart of Invictus, which was also labeled a flop after failing to crack Netflix’s Top 10.
But the prince and the former Suits star are now trying again to capture the magic they once had with some brand new content including a cooking show as well as a documentary about Harry’s favorite sport. And while filming the latter, Meghan had an awkward exchange that was captured by cameras.

Netflix added nearly 30 million global paid subscribers in 2023, though it might have watered down its hit pool in the process.
According to a new study by British streaming-data company Digital i, Netflix had fewer than half the global hits in 2023 (10) than it had in 2022 (22). Digital i defines a “hit” as an original movie or a series that was watched by at least 30 percent of Netflix’s subscriber base in North America, EU, and Latam.
The long list of 2022 Netflix hits goes like this: “Wednesday” (61.8%), “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” (53.3%), “Stranger Things 4” (48.0%), “The Adam Project” (47.9%), “Knives Out 2” (45.9%), “The Gray Man” (42.4%), “The Watcher” (41.9%), “The Tinder Swindler” (38.0%), “Inventing Anna” (37.5%), “The Sandman” (35.7%), “Senior Year” (35.6%), “1899” (34.7%), “Bridgerton” Season 2 (34.5%), “Troll” (34.0%), “Enola Holmes 2” (33.7%), “Luckiest Girl Alive” (33.4%), “Harry & Meghan” (32.7%), “Hustle” (32.6%), “The Man from Toronto” (31.5%), “Purple Hearts” (31.3%), “Me Time” (31.1%), “Day Shift” (31.0%), and “Falling for Christmas” (30.8%).

When Harry and Meghan left the Royal Family in 2020, they looked ready and set to claim their place as Hollywood’s royalty, no pun intended.
But a couple of projects in, and it seems the couple have lost their way. Archewell has now been merged into Sussex.com.
Their Spotify podcast “Archetypes” was prematurely cut. And there’s very little hope that their Netflix deal will be renewed when it expires next year.
Nevertheless, the couple keep moving on, with Meghan launching her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard and signing a deal to produce new podcasts for the platform Lemonada.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle – Advised To Reel It In To Keep Their Brand Alive
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle started this year by announcing a slew of happy news. One of them involved producing a second-chance romance story for Netflix.
Last month, Meghan launched her lifestyle company American Riviera Orchard.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle React to Kate Middleton’s Cancer Reveal: “We Wish Health and Healing”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are sending well wishes to Kate Middleton after the Princess of Wales revealed she was diagnosed with cancer.
“We wish health and healing for Kate and the family and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace,” Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, said in a statement, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.
In a video shared on social media on Friday, the Princess of Wales detailed that she underwent major abdominal surgery in January, which led to tests after the operation found cancer had been present. She then shared that she has begun a course of preventative chemotherapy treatment.
“This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” Middleton said in the video. “As you can imagine,...

Prince Harry may still be quarrelling with his family and the British courts, but Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has put a dispute with one of her relatives behind her.
After almost two years of litigation and several amended complaints, a federal judge today threw out the defamation case from the former Suits star’s half-sister. In fact, it’s no exaggeration to say Judge Charlene Edwards Honeywell tossed out the efforts by Samantha Markle hard.
“The Court grants the motion to dismiss, in full,” the Florida-based judge wrote in her 58-page order Tuesday. (Read the ruling here).

Prince Harry has several trips to the United Kingdom scheduled for 2024. Could a reunion between King Charles and his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, be on the horizon? A PR person who specializes in royal commentary believes so.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s website has a new look and name. Now, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex can be found online at sussex.com, the digital home of their official “Office.” While the changes have drawn criticism for the use of their royal titles, a commentator says Harry and Meghan’s website is still lacking what it needs to be “truly meaningful” — details on upcoming Netflix projects.
Harry and Meghan have rebranded their website as sussex.com
Since leaving life as working royals in 2020, Harry and Meghan have used archewell.com as their official website. All that changed on Feb. 12, 2024, when their website rebrand went live.
Changes were visible to the couple’s website, most notably with a different site name — it’s now sussex.com — and a landing page about their “Office.”
The page reads: “The Office of Prince Harry & Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle get closer to the end of their five-year Netflix contract an expert says the slow rate at which the Duke and Duchess have been releasing projects isn’t worrisome. Rather, they think it’s a good sign and an indication they’re focused on “quality.”
Harry and Meghan haven’t released a project with Netflix since August 2023
It’s slowgoing for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their Netflix partnership in the way of releases. Sure, they have things in the works (more on that ahead), but they haven’t released a title since the summer of 2023.
Heart of Invictus, a docuseries following competitors as they prepared for the 2022 Invictus Games, a sporting competition founded by Harry, premiered in August 2023. It didn’t make headlines as much as Harry & Meghan, the pair’s December 2022 docuseries about leaving royal life, did.

There was a time when it looked as though Netflix was poised to become the streaming world's answer to HBO.
Like the network that brought you The Sopranos and Deadwood, Netflix created its own niche, and at first, the streaming giant seemed to be focused on supplementing its movie library with a wide array of prestige original series.
But in recent years, the Og streamer abandoned that strategy in favor of an approach that's less ambitious and -- well, more depressing.
These days, there's a pervasive feeling that Netflix is more TBS than HBO.
The platform that delivered Orange Is the New Black, The Crown, BoJack Horseman, and Narcos is now churning out far more pedestrian fare -- basically, the sort of stuff you'd find on basic cable.
The list of series recently renewed by the famously cancel-happy streamer includes:
Outer Banks, Blood & Water, Sweet Magnolias, Hearbreak High, and Savage Beauty.

It could be goodbye to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix deal in 2025. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex face a “ticking time bomb” that is their five-year contract with the streaming giant, according to a commentator. The reason they might part ways is not unlike Spotify and the Sussexes in 2023. Harry and Meghan may simply not deliver successful content beyond their 2022 Harry & Meghan docuseries. This means there’s a lot riding on the couple’s upcoming Netflix project.

In a Daily Mail excerpt of King Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story, out Jan. 18, 2024, author Robert Hardman described Harry & Meghan, the six-part docuseries chronicling Harry and Meghan Markle’s romance and exit from royal life, as a “salvo” of “withering remarks.”
“Among other things, Prince Harry claimed that, for male members of the family, ‘there can be a temptation or an urge to marry someone who would fit the mold — as opposed to somebody who you perhaps are destined to be with,’” Hardman recalled.

When they first stepped down as working royals and moved to the States, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were the most sought-after couple as just about everyone wanted to work with them. But times have changed.
Instead of the Sussexes focusing on new projects to advance their careers, they launched a vendetta against the family they left and painted themselves as perpetual victims. Now, instead of companies flocking to them with new deals, there doesn’t appear to be any offers in sight. And sources close to the pair say Meghan and Harry “blame” that on the royal family. Here’s more on that and what an expert says the duke and duchess need to do moving forward before it’s too late to recover.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are accused of behaving “like reality TV stars” and blowing their “golden opportunity” with a “low-rent” approach to publicity. The couple exited their roles as senior royals in 2020 and spent the better part of three years discussing their displeasure with the institution. However, a royal commentator claims their actions are inconsistent with standard royal behavior.

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their roles as working royals in 2020. Although the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made it clear that all was not well leading up to their decision, the announcement that they were leaving Britain to “carve out new paths” for themselves surprised royal watchers everywhere.
Now, one of the last times the couple gathered with the family prior to that announcement is making the rounds. But the focus isn’t on how the other royals interacted with them instead it’s on an interaction between the prince and former Suits star.

Kate talked to Harry in the hours before Queen Elizabeth’s funeral
According to Ok! Magazine, the tension between Harry and Kate on the day of Queen Elizabeth’s funeral — Sept. 19, 2022 — started with a private conversation. Kate, now 41, reportedly confronted Harry before the Westminster Abbey service.

Although Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not spoken publicly about their royal family exit in almost one year, that doesn’t mean others aren’t speaking for them. A royal commentator claims King Charles should be “very worried” about a fresh fight from his son and daughter-in-law after the release of the book Endgame, penned by their friend Omid Scobie.
Royal commentator says ‘Endgame’ debut could open up fresh wounds for King Charles
Royal commentator Daniela Elser of News.com.au discussed Endgame‘s publication and how it could open up a Pandora’s Box for the royal family once again. The book’s author, Omid Scobie, promises a “penetrating investigation into the future of the royal family.”
Per publisher HarperCollins, the book aims to “pull back the curtain on an institution in turmoil—exposing the chaos, family dysfunction, distrust and draconian practices threatening its very future. However, this is the monarchy’s endgame.

Banking on the renewed interest in “Suits,” which has become a streaming hit on Netflix 12 years after it first debuted on the USA Network, Peacock has exclusively added the legal series’ short-lived spinoff, “Pearson,” to its ranks.

Princess Diana tragically died on Aug. 31, 1997, but her spirit lives on through her two sons, Prince Harry and Prince William.
In his memoir "Spare," released Jan. 10, Harry reflects on his mother, the brief time they shared together, and the memories he has of her. That includes the shocking claim that the very day Harry was born, Prince Charles thanked Diana for giving him a "spare" - harking back to the saying that every monarchy needs "an heir and a spare."
Harry revisits memories of his mother, including her 1995 Panorama interview, in his Netflix docuseries "Harry & Meghan," which premiered in December 2022. In the first episode, Harry opens up about Diana, saying, "I always remember her laugh, her cheeky laugh. Her saying to me: 'You can get into trouble, just don't get caught.'" Harry was only 12 years old when his mother died, so he admits that he doesn't have many "early memories" of her.

Once a cold case is now becoming a Netflix docuseries.
Emmy winner and Oscar nominee Liz Garbus is taking the director’s chair for the three-part Netflix docuseries about the Gilgo Beach on Long Island serial killings committed by Rex Heuermann, for which he was finally arrested in July, according to a press release on Thursday.
Throughout the ’90s and 2000s, 10 to 16 women were killed, with many of their remains discovered on Gilgo Beach.

The case was once believed to be permanently unsolved until Heuermann was linked as the murderer and arrested this summer. He has pleaded not guilty following his containment.
Garbus – who has taken the director’s role for projects like 2022’s “Harry & Meghan” – has already released a film loosely surrounding the Gilgo murders, 2020’s “Lost Girls”.

The Oscar-Winning ‘Heart of Invictus’ Team on Filming in Ukraine and Collaborating With Prince Harry
Prince Harry is returning to Netflix.
“Heart of Invictus,” produced by the Duke of Sussex’s Archewell label within the streamer, presents a view of Harry’s advocacy work. Director Orlando von Einsiedel and producer Joanna Natasegara — past Oscar winners for the 2016 documentary short “The White Helmets,” and nominees for the 2014 feature “Virunga” — knit together the stories of multiple participants in the Invictus Games, the athletic competition Harry founded for wounded veterans around the world. It’s a five-episode docuseries with uplift that can also be at times startlingly raw: Among the participants in the doc is a veteran in Ukraine, trying to move into civilian life; as Russia invades, she’s drawn back into the conflict.
For Harry — who is one among von Einsiedel’s and Natasegara’s subjects, and gets equal time, but not star treatment — this is a chance to do advocacy work for his most passionately held cause.

Prince Harry's new Netflix documentary, "Heart of Invictus," was released on Aug. 30, but it's not another deep dive into his romance with Meghan Markle or his fractured relationship with the British royal family. Instead, the docuseries documents Harry doing what he loves: telling stories of the competitors and organizers of the Invictus Games, an international multisport event for serving and veteran servicemen.
The five-part series follows the buildup to the 2022 Invictus Games, which took place in The Hague, Netherlands. While Harry leads the project, Meghan also briefly features supporting her husband. During the series, Harry touches upon poignant moments in his life following his return from war in 2008, which led him to launch the Games, but acknowledges that his mental health was affected long before this.
"The trigger for me was actually returning from Afghanistan, but the stuff that was coming up was from 1997, from the age of 12," he says,...

Netflix originals regularly take the top spots in the Wrap Report, as they did for the week of Aug. 14-20 once again. But the streamer’s sixth entry in the week’s chart of the most-viewed streaming programs that’s particularly notable: Season 1 of “Suits,” which originally aired on USA 12 years ago, is once again among the top 10 streaming programs.
The legal drama made the charts for four consecutive weeks earlier this summer, and its return to the top 10 demonstrates its lasting attraction among audiences since Netflix added the series in June. Netflix has found new audiences for the series by tapping its recommendation engines to reach viewers of the “Harry & Meghan” documentary as well as leaning into the popular drama and crime genres. As the writers’ and actors’ strikes continue to slow down TV and film production, leaning on discovery tools to expose audiences to older series is...

Prince Harry gives a rallying cry to war veterans preparing for next month’s Invictus Games competition in the teaser trailer for the Heart of Invictus documentary series, from his and Meghan Markle’s Archewell Productions, for Netflix.
‘It is here at Invictus Games that you realize whatever you carry was the springboard that propelled you to the next level. The Games doesn’t focus on what causes the injury, but really about the recovery and how to be part of a community again,” Harry says of the project from Orlando von Einsiedel and Joanna Natasegara, the Oscar-winning director and producer team behind The White Helmets short film, also for Netflix.
The five-parter, to bow on Aug. 30, looks at the human stories behind the Invictus Games, the international sporting event founded by Harry, who also executive produces the series. The trailer captures the Duke of Sussex encouraging service members who...
