Trivia Director Noboru Iguchi said he got the idea for the film after Piranha 3D (2010) was a hit in Japan. He'd always wanted to make a film about people being attacked by animals, and was searching for the right theme, something high-impact. Since he also love Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes (1978), he decided he wanted to make a film about food that attacked human beings, and which was also set in Japan. Ultimately, he came upon the idea of a group of people who are attacked by sushi. See more »
