Irish short 'Halowin' is the only Irish film that is part of Von Trier's vision Gesamt, a feature film done with shorts films from directors and finally edited by Jenle Hallund.
Halowin is directed by Dublin-based Spanish director Paco Torres and co- produced by The Element Post.
'Halowin' was shot over six days in Dublin - from concept and pre- production, right through to post-production - and stars Joe McKinney (Glenroe), Paul Butler Lennox, Grace Hendy and the Spanish actor Carmen Montero.
Torres wrote the five-minutes short inspired by Paul Gauguin's painting, with a simple logline: Three friends get ready for a Halloween good night out. All is perfect, until they encounter a drug dealer who changes their destinies forever.
It is a remarkable film, full of emotions and incredibly turns at the end.
The writer/ director is based in Dublin and is currently finalising the script of his next feature film 'Blue Guitar', which he is co-writing with Johnny Ferguson (Gangster Number One).
Halowin will be worldwide in festivals shortly and it is an inspired film to watch it.
