Remember your imaginary friend from childhood? How did you leave them? Did you grow older and forget about them? Decide that imaginary friends were for babies? Did they find ways into your works?
Now what do you think would have happened to them if you had died?
That’s approximately where the story of Neverboy begins.
Neverboy is the story of an imaginary friend of the same name who was created by a boy named Sam. After Sam’s death, Neverboy creates a life for himself by creating a family and taking drugs to keep himself in reality. Naturally, this annoys the Ministry of Imagination, but it gets much worse when he meets a down on his luck artist named Julian Drag who’s looking for nothing but inspiration.

David Tennant has joined the cast of the animated film Chew, which is based on the comic book of the same name.
The former Doctor Who star will take over the role originally held by the late Robin Williams.
The animated feature also stars Felicia Day (The Guild) and The Walking Dead's Steven Yeun.
Jeff Krelitz, whose previous credits include Torchwood: Web of Lies and Peter Panzerfaust, will direct the film, while the script has been penned by Chew co-creator John Layman.
The series centres around Tony Chu (Yeun), a detective with the unique ability to see the history of anything he eats. Chu lives in a near future where poultry is illegal following a devastating bird flu epidemic.
Tennant will voice Mason Savoy, the detective's mentor-turned-villain, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The rest of the cast recorded their parts last year, but production was halted after the death of Robin Williams last August.

David Tennant – who recently joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Zebediah “Purple Man” Killgrave in Jessica Jones – has just jumped aboard another comic book adaptation. According to THR, the former Doctor Who star will lend his voice to the upcoming animated adaptation of Image Comics’ Chew.
Tennant’s role – of mentor-turned-villain Mason Savoy – was originally going to be filled by Robin Williams, who tragically committed suicide last summer. His death caused a stall in production, but now things are moving forward once more. The Walking Dead‘s Steven Yeun and The Guild actress/creator Felicia Day are already signed on for the film and recorded their parts last year.
Chew, created by John Layman (who penned the screenplay for the adaptation) and artist Rob Guillory, centers on an agent in the Food and Drug Administration named Tony Chu (Yeun), who solves crimes by receiving psychic impressions from whatever he eats.

You may have felt it: that odd hole in your heart. Like a tiny piece of you has gone missing. You may have noticed that you’re not alone. Almost as if your local comic book store is a little quieter, sadder even. Sound on Sight is feeling it. That is, until this week when we held a copy of Rat Queens Special: Braga #1 in our sweaty palms. Suddenly the sadness was gone, replaced by a sense of joy and wonder and that’s when we knew; we need Rat Queens.
After taking a bit of a hiatus to switch out artists, Kurtis J. Wiebe (Peter Panzerfaust) throws us hungry fans a bone with a lovely little one-shot. This special focuses on Braga,...

Two new Image comics, Rat Queens and Peter Panzerfaust, could be coming to television...
News
Now this sounds like an animated series we need to exist. Pukeko, an arm of Weta Workshop (The Hobbit) is developing a TV show based on Kurtis J. Wiebe and Roc Upchurch's Rat Queens.
The medieval fantasy series follows the exploits of four rowdy adventurers, Hannah the Rockabilly elven mage, Violet the hipster dwarven fighter, Dee the atheist human cleric and Betty the hippy thief. Wiebe has previously described the D&D-inspired concept as "Lord Of The Rings meets Bridesmaids". Pukeko and Heavy Metal are planning to adapt the comics into thirty-minute animated episodes to shop around the networks.
Also in development is a TV adaptation of another of Wiebe's comics, Peter Panzerfaust, by Heavy Metal and BBC Worldwide. Life On Mars' Matthew Graham and Ashley Pharoah are currently down to write the pilot episode.

Odd List Greg Foster 18 Oct 2013 - 06:16
We look at 20 former A-list actors, and the interesting film choices they've made...
There comes a time in every A-list actor's life when they gather their thoughts and take a step back into smaller budget or more leftfield fare - and for a variety of reasons. They may want to work with a certain director or an emerging directing talent. They might be taken by a fantastic script. They might fancy a new artistic direction. They may even have a spiritual epiphany and decide to eschew Hollywood and all its decadent trappings, or they may simply just not have a choice, since the big roles have long since dried up for them.
The reason for this list then, is to look at some of those shining lights, the household names, and at the films they took up as proof of their artistic integrity.

According to new reports, producer Jeff Krelitz ("Torchwood: Web Of Lies") has picked up the film rights to Image Comics' "Hoax Hunters" with the intent of adapting it as a feature.
Krelitz is also adapting another Image title, "Peter Panzerfaust," for BBC Worldwide as a TV property.
"...'Jack Lawson', 'Ken Cadaver' and 'Regan Tate' are your typical paranormal reality TV hosts. They travel around the country investigating unexplained phenomena, use their creepy night vision camera, take some readings with their state-of-the-art equipment and have debunked the mystery by the end of the episode. Their fans are safe to continue living in a world free from 'cryptids', 'aliens' and other assorted creatures -- or are they?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Image Comics' successful series Chew is getting another shot at being developed for a screen take. The John Layman-created storyline was previously adapted as a pilot for Showtime, but never moved forward. Jeff Krelitz and his Quality Transmedia banner picked up the rights afterwards. The producer was behind adapting Image's Peter Panzerfaust into a motion comic, which led to BBC Worldwide picking it up for a television translation. For Chew, he is producing a direct to digital and home video animated movie (which is in pre-production) while developing a live action TV series, for which he is currently meeting with showrunners. There's always one day during the Sdcc when you just shake your head, laugh, and say, "This schedule is ridiculous." Saturday, July 20th, is shaping up to be that day this year.
Horror fans will have a lot of choices to make as the "Bates Motel" panel battles the one-two punch of Godzilla and Seventh Son. Later in the day you'll be faced with choosing to learn more about "True Blood," Telltale's The Walking Dead video game, or "Being Human." Right now 20th Century Fox's presentation that runs at the same time remains "To Be Announced," but once details are revealed, we'll provide an update.
Other panels vying for your attention throughout the day are "The Originals," "Grimm," I, Frankenstein teamed with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (that combination should make for some interesting audience reactions), a look at gameplay from Dead Rising 3 on the Xbox One, more games, comics,...
