Paramount Global lost $490 million from streaming in the final quarter of 2023, when Paramount+ added 4.1 million subscribers. The service now has 67.5 million subs; it is now expected to turn a profit in the U.S. in 2025.
Paramount+ revenue jumped 69 percent from the same quarter last year thanks to price hikes and that sub growth. The overall company fell a bit shy of Wall Street’s revenue mark but turned a slight profit. Though Q4 advertising revenue rose at Paramount’s streaming segment, the growth was nowhere near the line-item’s decline at linear TV.
Losses from (mostly) Paramount+ are nothing new. Paramount lost $238 million from its streaming business in the prior quarter (and $424 million in Q2 and a $511 million in Q1), when it gained 2.7 million Paramount+ subs. Now that 2023 is over and 2025 is expected to be profitable, we know that 2022 was the peak year for Paramount streaming losses. Paramount Global’s...

One of Kel Mitchell’s favorite gifts this Christmas is the fact that his two of his kids, Honor and Wisdom Mitchell, have cameos in his new film Good Burger 2. “They play Pickles and Mustard. [My character] Ed has seven kids in the movie, and he named them all after condiments. It’s been so much fun having them have this experience with Dad and being in the movie too. So it’s a fun Christmas,” says Mitchell, whose film, which co-stars his longtime collaborator Kenan Thompson (Kenan & Kel), became the most-watched original film on Paramount+ after its release in November.

After 26 years, there's actually a sequel to Nickelodeon's '90s comedy "Good Burger." Based on a sketch from "All That," the movie took the lovably dimwitted Good Burger employee Ed (Kel Mitchell) to the big screen and paired him with co-star Kenan Thompson for a zany caper about two competing burger joints. It has all the hallmarks of a classic screwball comedy from the 1980s, and believe it or not, it's still genuinely funny to this day. So how do you pick up the spatula again after so many years?

Millennials rejoice! 26 years later, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are once again serving up fast-food morsels in the achingly-awaited "Good Burger 2." Folks who grew up on Nickelodeon's kid-friendly sketch comedy series "All That" have been clamoring for a return to the chaotically unclean confines of Good Burger, and now that it's here, I'll let those whose satiric sensibilities were partially formed by the original pass judgment on the quality of the sequel.
I do, however, know Sinbad. A comedic force of nature, I first saw the man rack up multiple wins on the Ed McMahon-hosted talent competition "Star Search" in the 1980s. I remember watching him besting a young Dennis Miller; this bothered me at the time, but considering Miller's career trajectory, I am firmly in Sinbad's camp. After all, who else possessed the bravery to ask which part of the chicken produced the Chicken McNugget?

Nickelodeon superstars Kenan and Kel are keen to continue their double act, now that Good Burger 2 is in the world.
Good Burger 2 is right around the corner, and in an interview with Variety promoting the film, stars Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell were keen to emphasise that it marks the beginning of a new chapter in their working relationship.
Bottom line: there’s more.
Thompson said that “it would be only right for us to continue to go explore what Kenan and Kel could have been when we were in our 20s when we left Nickelodeon and decided to try to figure it out, instead of just automatically doing the Abbott and Costello thing”.
He added that “now that we’re older and sharper and wiser and this that and the other, we can do it at such a high level on so many different outlets or whatever.

Arriving a whopping 26 years after 1997’s cult-favorite Nickelodeon comedy, “Good Burger 2” fits the streaming-era trend in which audiences seek a nostalgia bump reconnecting with old favorites, like “Coming to America” or “Hocus Pocus” — not exactly classics so much as modest pleasures from more innocent times. In this obnoxiously unfunny followup from Paramount+, stars Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson return as hapless fast food employees. To update the story to 2023, director Phil Traill and screenwriters Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert add a few new characters and a tiresome AI plot, winding up with a Thanksgiving diversion that functions just fine playing in the background as families gather for their holiday meals.
The hook here is presumably a Kenan and Kel reunion, which the movie serves up without delay: Ed (Mitchell) now owns the Good Burger restaurant, where he serves as a benevolent boss, treating his employees with empathy while never...

Did someone order more comedy with a side of fries from Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell? In addition to teaching the world about who’s a dude (it turns out we’re all dudes), the dynamic burger-slinging comedic duo is looking to “Super-Size” their recent reunion for Good Burger 2 in more ways than one! Speaking with Variety about getting back behind the counter for the long-awaited sequel Good Burger 2, Thompson says he and Mitchell will “one million percent” continue working together after the delicious follow-up to 1997’s Good Burger.

Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger … you know how it goes. Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are back as Dexter and Ed in Good Burger 2, the Paramount+ sequel to the hit 1997 movie (originally an All That sketch), and for one of them, the years have definitely been kinder. It’s been over 20 years for these characters, and while Ed is doing “very well,” according to Thompson, Dex is not. “My character is hijinks-ing himself into a troublesome situation and calls on an old friend to see what’s going on,” Thompson tells TV Insider in the video interview above. In Good Burger 2 (streaming November 22), Dexter is down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails. Ed welcomes Dex back to Good Burger — where there’s a new crew working — with open arms and gives him his old job back. Dex devises a plan...

Kel Mitchell was all smiles at the Good Burger 2 premiere in New York on Monday night, just days after he experienced a “genuinely frightening” medical incident.
The actor seemed to be in good spirits at the Regal Union Square event, where he was accompanied by wife Asia Lee-Mitchell and their children, with Kel and Asia carrying their excited kids down the carpet.
Later, when Mitchell’s longtime onscreen collaborator and Good Burger 2 co-star Kenan Thompson arrived, one of Mitchell’s kids ran straight to Thompson, who gave the child a hug.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter before the screening of the Paramount+ sequel, Mitchell insisted he’s “good,” something he’s said multiple times since the health scare.
But he also shared some perspective on the incident and indicated that he was happily persevering.

Over 25 year after Nickelodeon brought us the tasty screwball comedy "Good Burger," Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are cooking again with a sequel coming to Paramount+ this month. "Good Burger 2" finds the burger boys reunited when Dexter Reed's (Thompson) entrepreneurial spirit is crushed by a poorly conceived invention that puts him out of business, so he ends up working with his old friend Ed (Mitchell) back at Good Burger. But Dexter is still looking for an opportunity to get some start-up money for his next big idea, and it ends up creating trouble for the fast food location all over again.
When you have a comedy like "Good Burger" getting a sequel, it only makes sense to have some kind of fast food crossover promotion. However, no one would have expected the fast food crossover to happen with a chain that isn't exactly known for its burgers. The...

Kai Cenat is furthering his big-screen dreams with a role in a nostalgic sequel. The streaming star will make an appearance in Good Burger 2, an upcoming film led by Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.
The original Good Burger film, released in 1997, evolved out of a bit from Nickelodeon’s prime-time sketch show All That. Though the Good Burger movie drew negative reviews from critics, it endured as a cultural touchstone of the Millennial generation. More than 25 years after its theatrical release, Good Burger is getting a sequel. Good Burger 2 will arrive on the Paramount Plus streaming service on November 22.

The movie centers on Dexter (Thompson) and Ed (Mitchell) reuniting as staff members at Good Burger as the pair attempt to help the struggling fast food establishment amid its parent company’s plans to grow the brand.
This footage shows plenty of hijinks for the two leads as they get reconnected. “It really means a lot that you came to see me,” Mitchell tells Thompson.

Welcome back to Good Burger! After years of teasing a sequel, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are back for "Good Burger 2." On Aug. 21, Paramount+ dropped the first teaser, and it seems like no time has passed because Ed and Dex are up to their old antics. Then, on Oct. 30, the streamer dropped another full trailer for the highly anticipated sequel, teasing "the new adventures of Ed and Dex."
Per the new clip, it seems the duo's new adventures involve trying to hold onto their jobs as burger-serving robots take over their beloved restaurant that's on its way to becoming a global phenomenon.
Back in March, Jimmy Fallon and his crowd instantly went wild when Thompson and Mitchell revealed the "Good Burger 2" news on "The Tonight Show." "Ladies and gentlemen, Kel has something he would like to tell you," Thompson teased before handing the announcement over to his costar.

Awwww, here it goes! Kenan and Kel are back behind the counter at the home of the Good Burger. Paramount+ has just released the newest trailer for the sequel to the Nickelodeon feature film that stars Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. Good Burger 2 brings back Dexter and Ed after 1997’s Good Burger had the duo take down the fast food conglomerate Mondo Burger. The trailer sports that classic slapstick comedy that defined their first show, All That, as well as featuring some appearances from some more of the cast members from the first movie in addition to the film’s stars.
Deadline has also featured some new stills from the film along with the release of the trailer. The synopsis reads, “Good Burger 2 follows Dexter (Thompson) and Ed (Mitchell) as they reunite in the present day at fast-food restaurant Good Burger with a hilarious new group of employees.

The long-awaited sequel Good Burger 2 has timed its robot takeover plot perfectly. When Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson first premiered their fast-food duo Ed and Dex on the big screen in the 1997 film, based on an All That sketch, it was at a time when robots replacing humans was a farfetched fictional plot. But now that they’re reviving their characters for the second installment, premiering on Paramount+ on Nov. 22, they’re a little closer to our increasingly Black Mirror-esque reality than they were 26 years ago.
