The documentary film Vanishing Point is excellent - beautiful, engaging, and unique. It shows the life of Inuit hunters today in two arctic communities connected by the journey of a restless shaman in the 1800s.
The story here is specific, but I can see strong connections to Alaska native communities. They may not net Auks and hunt Narwhal, but they too see subsistence hunting at the core of their culture, and struggle with the changes the outside world has brought. Dramatic change in both culture and climate make it all the more difficult to hold onto cultural values.
