Sex & Nudity

  • Some themes of a potential romantic relationship, but all we get are some entries in journals that aren't too explicit.

Violence & Gore

  • There is brief strong violence when a creature catches up to the protagonist and proceeds to stab them; no graphic injury is depicted, although there is sight of blood.
  • Some of the environments the player encounters are covered in blood.
  • There is one sequence which depicts a character preparing to cut their wrist with a razor before the screen fades to black. The act is not shown, nor any graphic injury, although there are scars shown on the character's arm implying that they have cut themselves before.
  • There are occasional references to self-harm, both verbal and visual, including sight of bloody razors in a locker.
  • There are frequent suicide references, and brief scenes of suicide as characters are shown jumping off buildings. There are no injuries depicted, and the impact of the fall is never shown.

Profanity

  • There is regular use of other bad language, mainly in a bullying context.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There are some references to drugs, mainly anti-depressants often referred to as "meds".

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The chase sequences are very intense and sustained, involving a grotesque looking monster pursuing the protagonist.
  • The game explores mature thematic material such as bullying, self-harm and suicide. This may prove upsetting to some people.
  • There is an unsettling tone throughout the game.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The main character commits suicide, more than once, only to come back again, each time is very intense.
  • There's also themes of child abuse, expressed through a scene where a house gets continually more trashed, hateful comments from a mother (in the form of narration) and a newspaper that reveals a child died and was put into a fridge to hide the body.
