Epic Pictures announced a January 25th release for their three-disc Collector's Edition Blu-ray / DVD of Turbo Kid:
Press Release: Los Angeles, CA – January 19, 2016 - Epic Pictures announced today that they will release a special “Ultra Turbo Charged Collector’s Edition” Blu-Ray/DVD set of Turbo Kid on January 25th 2016. “‘Certified Fresh’” by Rotten Tomatoes, Turbo Kid premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival to strong critical acclaim and racked up multiple awards on the film festival circuit, including the Midnight Audience Award at 2015’s SXSW Film Festival, the Audience Award at the 2015 Fantasia International Film Festival, and the Best Feature Audience Award at Fantaspoa 2015. The film was released in August 2015, by Epic Pictures Releasing, Epic Pictures Group’s U.S. distribution division.

Fresh off the heels of its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, a trailer has been released for Turbo Kid, the post-apocalyptic throwback from Anouk Whissell, François Simard and Yoann-Karl Whissell. What started as a short film (T Is For Turbo) that was submitted for the first ABCs Of Death anthology, is now a full length homage to Eighties kitsch. Our very own Dylan Griffin wrote a very positive review calling it a “a blast from the gory and campy past with a terrific sense of humour.”

Post apocalyptic short T Is For Turbo from Montreal based film collective Rkss was a great favorite among the submissions for the contest portion of the first installment of The ABCs Of Death and while the short ultimately fell just short of making the final anthology it's very much a case of no harm, no foul. They're making it into a feature instead with ABCs producer Ant Timpson on board along with Hobo With A Shotgun director Jason Eisener.
