An interesting journey: the discovery of South Africa, a dynamic country: first of all South Africa is an important place for the advertissing industry: the directors find there beaches, mountains and wildlife (so many jobs have been created).
Capetown has an original neighborhooid: Bo-Kaap , immigrants from South East Asian have come ; the house are very coloured, the cooking is exotic (curry, biriani) and there are also muslim minorities.
Besides Capetown is a gay friendly town, in 2006 South Africa recognized the same sex marriage.
Then we have the townships: we visit the township of Filippi: some Africans are Christians, but also the Sangomas or shamans are important .
In the township of Khaelitsha the is a famous duo, the Ruffest (Max and Sello) who sing the kwaito music. And some words about the Cape of Good Hope, a place in which the warm stream coming from Mozambique meets the cold stream of Benguela and there are very high and strong waves (sharkspotters are watching the sea).
I enjoyed the encounters of Jérôme with Andrew Brauteseth, the photogapher ( the excursion in the cable car, the Charly's Bakery, the sausage barbecue, the Museum of District 6), then with Sophie in the township of Khaelitsha , with Andrew again in the vineyard and in the cellar (tasting a Grenache wine), the moment of cage diving and the visit of the Cape of Good Hope with a French friend (they meet the sharkspotters and enjoy the panorama at the Cape.
I appreciate the kindness of these South African men and women.
