Make Me A Bird
Mitchcraft6 February 2022
Any fan will know what i am referring to with the title of this review. For those who have just watched this episode enjoy your new addiction to this amazing scene and music when i say Make me a bird and i'll fly too, beyond the confines of this sick sick game!

I loved this scene and thought this episode was so powerful. Then we are treated with Make Me A Bird again in the outro with a cool end credit scene. If you are not enjoying Hemlock Grove by this episode, maybe it's not for you. For those of us who are totally engrossed by now have 2 more seasons after this and they are great.

Warning: Spoilers
Although the mystery is solved, it happens at a tediously slow pace. The mystery is solved nicely though, I have no problem with that. The major flaw I couldn't get over is also a major spoiler, but you probably want this to be spoiled so you wont be so goddam disappointed in (spoiler)is the lack of death when there should be death. Though- out the season I've was pretty happy with who and how they killed off characters, enough too make me feel like there was danger present in the show. This episode killed all of that. They 'fake' killed off a main character 4 times in one f@#$ing episode! Hey writers, when you make me think a character is dead and then flip it around, I know you intend me to feel relief, but honestly I felt cheated. I mean you went on about how Peters actions will have great consequences, and he himself said he would loose his own face, which personally I thought would be pretty cool if they didn't want to loose a main character this early on they could still give him some gruesome scars or something to show these "consequences" that were hypes so much. But no, they couldn't deal with either the time it would take to apply the scar make up, or the fact he wouldn't be great eye candy for the audience any more, so all is healed through "the power of loooove" URG. What a cop out.
