Movie starts funny with VD and his cost control technics which slowly turns into twist and turns in the plot.

This go downhill from 2nd half, USA story is with so much loop holes or the it's just a big loophole.

1. Beautiful white girls when he becomes a jiglow.

2. gets paid salary even after taking 2 years adv salary.

3. talks in telugu to an audience in usa with mixed race audience.

4. Abuses and insults ceo and company property and ethics.

5. VD stops a car beats up people but when car arrives the guys who got beat up run.. with a cop chase. OmG

list goes on and on.

To the point you lose intrest...2nd half was written by someone with no idea of usa culture, ethics or corporate world.

The initial teasers were really giving the great impression and bringing the mood of another blockbuster. The trailer released near the movie game me a doubt what does this story will have in US. First one hour of the movie was extraordinary and really wanted to share the experience and suggest my friends for a theatre watch. The twist 10 mins before the interval was good but the next 10 mins was horrible. The 2nd half almost takes place in US and the script has failed to give the entertainment of the 1st half and all emotions went off and just irritating scenes with no story movement. The climax and a villain was certainly introduced to have a stunt sequence and it was very bad. Over all this is better to watch in OTT as we can fast forward all the boring scenes (a lot is there in 2nd half)....

Believe me. All the positive reviews for this movie are probably fake.

The story is supposed to be of a middle class Indian man but the main character is far from it. There are a lot of cringe scenes in the movie.

Firstly, that dosa scene in the beginning is where I lost interest. No matter how poor a family is they won't compromise when it comes to feeding their kids.

Next, when VD says he will go upstairs and relax. I assumed it to be small room. But it's bigger than an average 1bhk flat and that too fully furnished. What was is doing not giving it for rent all this time?

Then onwards VD spends most of his time at mrunals place then in his house downstairs.

Next, the brother character. A civils qualified person becomes a drunkard and ignore his family because VD insults him.

Once he found out that mrunal wrote a book about him, VD started behaving like a Physco. To prove her wrong, he takes a 2 years salary in advance. (Yet he will receive 3 lakh every month - don't know how to react to this). And if a person is getting 3 lakh per month, then he is not a middle class person in India.

Once he finds out mrunal is the CEO, VD becomes a child. He starts demanding all the previlages the CEO is getting and the company offers them without firing him.

Don't know how this story is written and how actors (except the VD) agreed to act in it.

Watching Konda films on OTT is a better choice than watching them in theaters. Avoid OTT also if you're health-conscious or prone to headaches and sickness.

"The stories are repetitive, the action is predictable, and the facial expressions are inadequate."It's not worth writing a review for this low-grade movie. I'm not sure how stars got involved with such a project. Unfortunately, Konda's unsuccessful saga continues in the industry.

Have you ever watched a movie where the hero's achievements felt underwhelming because of poor character development, a weak script, and lackluster music? You can see all of these things in this movie.

I wasted 150 minutes and 275/- of money on this scrap.

Okay where do I start -

Mrunal Thakur was probably hired for 2 days since she doesn't have more than 3 dialogues in the entire movie.

Parasuram, I got to know of his name today and I wish I didn't. We need to teach him how hit and run works and how police deal with this. For Example - If a crazy person stops a car and hits the passenger, this is not called hit and run!

My heartfelt condolences to the short sighted producer Dil Raju who went all in on Mrunal Thakur but forgot about the Trojan Horse. One would think Mrunal would make a film a hit, but sometimes fate can be cruel.

I also forgot, one of the main characters of the movie, our tragedy star, the dude who lost his legs and hands in the car accident. Here's what really happened - the police was just checking up on the dude to make sure he's okay, but the dude had a death wish and turned the car to hit a tree.

I have a geography doubt, when the dude gets stopped in his car and a crazy person hits him, how is everyone at the scene before the police are?

Since I said this movie is a rollercoaster of emotions, I need to include the emotion of happiness which I only felt when I was fast forwarding the movie and while writing this review.

I think I covered everybody in the movie. I do remember there was this crazy person shouting throughout the movie but I am fortunate enough to tune such people out.

Utterly illogical movie!

How did Indu pick govardhan for book, esp be sure enough to move into his house? Why Masters in anthropology when you are ceo of construction company?

The way Govardhan reacts when indu calls him middle class is exactly whats wrong with instaGen! To empty your pockets to prove you are not middle class is whats really presented in this movie! Grow a pair and accept who you are and have ambitions for right reason Govardhan! Ego isnt gonna take people anywhere..

No character in this movie is well written! No scene is logical and no situation is believable. Vennela kishore taking vijay to time square to make him a toy boy is a cheap level writers have stooped to to generate laughs. There is no hope for good cinema anymore!

Govardhan is an middle class family man, looking after the joint family by being the sole earner. His eldest brother is a drunkard and his other brother is yet to get financially stable. This leaves Govardhan with a low earning job, to be an authoritarian but when it comes to protecting his family, he turns into THE hero tollywood approves. Indu is the tenant in his house's first floor and both fall in love until he figures out that she just mingled with him and his family to write a thesis on middle class family for her degree. Govardhan starts hating her and his behavior towards her turns her love into hatred. What happens when he joins a high earning job, only to be revealed that Indhu is the CEO of that company, forms rest of the story.

THE Family Star has a passable first half. The family scenes despite underwritten characters help the narrative to go in a smooth pace and the timely addition of two action scenes allow the hero to typically shine. The conflict points however are weakly written and the film starts losing it's steam. The interval block with Govardhan realising what Indhu had done and his instant reaction was okay. But the film gets derailed entirely in the second half with a terrible screenplay. The entire second half runs without head and tail forgetting the family angle whereas the love story along with the attempted comedy simply turns out to be super cringe.

Songs aren't memorable and everything in the second half looks forced and deliberate. Unnecessarily a villain is included too only for the conflict to be resolved instantly. The dialogues fall flat like "I love you means I love your family" and the addition of silly scenes in the name of comedy just ends up making Govardhan's character annoying. If the screenplay in the second half included the family sentiment rather than using it randomly as a plot tool in the third act, there was some chance to salvage the mess but turning it into a rom-com by increasing the cringe factor only ended up harming the film. The Vijay Devarakonda wants to be a brand and it was his script selection that set him apart from the rest. It's about time he realizes it and gets back his script sense.

Don't watch this film in the UK.

Overall its a pleasant comedy about a man who cares for his family to the point of control and assertion. One day his mother rents out a room in the house to a female lodger. The man falls for her and she charms his family and all is going well until the interval.

The film takes a turn i the second half and as the film draws to its conclusion we see the lead get clonked once round the head, arrive at ???? Covered in blood. A one second still picture shows what probably happened a bloody fight. The distributors decided to release this with a 12A certificate, so lazy parents can take their selves to the cinema and drag along toddlers. In return adults watching this film are treated to nothing.

I don't know how Indian audiences tolerate the bowdlerisation of films, Jailer and Leo are two spectacular examples of distributors stupidity actually editing the final confrontations to gain lower certificates.
