Liam Payne is getting some love from one of his One Direction bandmates.
The 30-year-old crooner introduced a new era of music this week with the unveiling of his single “Teardrops.” After it dropped, Louis Tomlinson hopped online to shout it out, prompting a cute exchange between the pair.

“Liam‘s new single is out today,” Louis wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Go have a listen.”
The “Strip That Down” singer responded simply but emotionally, writing, “Thank you bro ❤️.”
Their interaction comes a little under a year after Liam supported Louis at the premiere of his documentary All of Those Voices. He was the only member of One Direction who was able to attend the event.
Louis and Liam have always been close. After attending the premiere, Liam took to social media to share a tribute to his fellow musician.

Liam Payne returned to his YouTube channel on July 10 with a video titled "I'm Back…," having been absent from the platform for more than a year. Specifically, following that infamous appearance on the "Impaulsive With Logan Paul" podcast back in May 2022. Heading back in front of the camera, the former One Direction star addressed fans with a personal eight-minute message.
In the video, he reflects on the aftermath of the podcast interview and the backlash he received, as well as shares updates about his son, Bear, and how he's growing up. Also woven into his video is a candid report of his experience in a rehab facility in Louisiana, where he went for almost three months to "get my head straight." "I was in bad shape until that point, and I was really happy more than anything, when I arrived, to kind of put a stopper on life and work,...

Directioners, it's definitely not the time to give up hope for a One Direction renaissance. Ever since One Direction split in 2016, rumors have been circulating on pretty much a monthly basis about whether Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik will ever reunite. They've been dispelled time and time again, but according to Horan, although a musical reunion may not be on the way, the band is very much still in contact.
In a May 25 interview with E! News, Horan shared that the former bandmates still regularly correspond. "We've had three or four group chats," he said, sharing that there's now a new, particularly active one. "Some of them have been more quiet than others. This new one is definitely louder than most, and it's been great," he said. "I'm sure if I had a look at my phone in a few minutes I'd see some messages.

The great philosophers of One Direction once said: “Goodbyes are bittersweet — but it’s not the end, I’ll see your face again.” Unfortunately for everyone who believed the fandom-wide rumors that the band would be reuniting for the series finale of The Late Late Show with James Corden, in this particular instance, that “Walking in the Wind” lyric is null and void.

Backstage in London at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Louis Tomlinson threw his hands into the center of a huddle with his bandmates before the show. There was a familiarity to the moment, which was captured in December 2022 and opens the new documentary All of Those Voices, directed by Charlie Lightning. The only differences? He was surrounded by five other bandmates instead of four, and the 2,000-capacity venue was a fraction of the size of the stadiums he had grown accustomed to playing with One Direction — or the still-major...

Liam Payne has opened up about his friendship with former bandmate Louis Tomlinson, confessing he wasn't himself during the One Direction days and vowing to be a better friend in future. Ahead of the release of Tomlinson's new documentary film, "All of Those Voices," the pair had a mini reunion at the UK premiere of the movie on March 16, where they were photographed laughing together. Yet behind the smiles, Payne - who attended the London premiere with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy - was left reminiscing about his boyband days and the hardships they faced together.
"My neck hurts from how much Im looking up to you right now you were already my friend and brother but getting to look through that window into your world and mind just extends that respect I have for you," Payne wrote in a lengthy Instagram caption on March 17. And it seems the documentary made...

The 31-year-old singer released the “first look” trailer for his forthcoming documentary on Tuesday (14 March).
Tomlinson announced the new documentary in February, after revealing that he had been working on the film “for years”.
All of Those Voices will be released in cinemas worldwide on 22 March and will tell the story of the “self-discovery and the courage it takes to be true to oneself”.
In the new trailer, Tomlinson said that being able to contribute to writing for the band made him feel in “control”.

Louis Tomlinson has admitted to feeling some “envy” over Harry Styles’s solo success – at the beginning, at least.
Tomlinson and Styles, of course, began their careers in the X-Factor-formed boyband One Direction alongside Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne.
The group disbanded after five years in 2015 and the singers embarked on separate solo careers.
“When One Direction split up, I was mortified, I was absolutely gutted,” Tomlinson told The Times in a new interview.
“I was a bit bitter, I suppose because it just felt like another loss to me. But I’ve a better understanding of things now, and there’s not as much anger. It is what it is.”
Asked about Styles’ “ascendance into the biggest star of his generation”, Tomlinson replied: “Well, it’s not a surprise is it? We were always aware that Harry fit that mould, and it’s been an amazing thing to watch.

Tomlinson is the subject of a new documentary called "All of Those Voices," which explores the aftermath of One Direction's breakup in 2016, told from his perspective.
