Roger Rodas was a husband, father, son, friend, businessman, philanthropist, and race car driver. Sadly, he is best known for the horrific car accident that cost him his life and being the good friend of his famous passenger.
Born in El Salvador in 1979, a country riddled with war and violence, Roger's father was assassinated when he was just four years old. To save their own lives, Roger and his family fled to America where they lived in poverty. He was forced into becoming a man overnight. Tragedy continued to follow and hunt him down during his teenage years; yet his intelligence and charm helped him to achieve a better life and realize the American dream. Roger rose in his profession as a top advisor for Merril Lynch Bank of America. A car enthusiast, he had several successful business ventures in the automotive world and raced cars for his Always Evolving label.
On November 30, 2013, Roger and his friend Paul were together for a charity toy drive and car show. They hope to raise money for a disaster relief charity that they formed together. The men reflect on their lives and relationships before taking a stalling car out for a test ride, never to return.
This is the story of Roger's beautiful and tragic life, his love story with his wife Kristine, whom he met at the age of 14, and his tragic final day on this earth. His story is retold through the people who knew him best and who miss him every day.
We are so happy and extremely honored to share his story with the world.
