Fun to see Tony get a little extra screen time this week as his colleagues try to safeguard him through two more shifts to break the CFD's all-time consecutive shift record and become the "Cal Ripken of the CFD," as Capp puts it. Tony and Capp are always fun when they're on the screen.
Matt Casey is back from Minneapolis. Temporarily, anyway. Just long enough to stir up old feelings from Brett and to work alongside Kidd in a Homeland Security taskforce. He also managed to hang around long enough to join everyone else at Molly's for the party in honour of Cindy Hermann beating cancer.
It was great to see Jesse Spencer, one of the show's tentpoles along with the absent Taylor Kinney. Here's hoping there are more cameos...and Casey dropped a hint about the future, too.
Also this week, Gallo has to confront a face from the past, helping us sketch in a little more of the character's backstory, which is always appreciated.
I have a weird feeling about Carver and Violet.
