From the "Ile de Ré" (Ré Island) in France to the Spanish border, the film tells the story of men who face something stronger than them and must give up the land they thought they could occupy against the elements. Driven by stronger and more frequent storms, the Atlantic coast is inexorably retreating and the coastline is losing ground every year. Between global warming and sometimes invasive urbanization, man has no choice but to reinvent his relationship with the ocean. Those who have chosen to live on the coasts recount, in their own way, the upheavals they are going through. Associations, scientists, elected officials organize the fight and imagine a different future, sometimes further from the coast... A film shot in full succession of storms in 2014.
