I see a lot of praise for Lawmen: Bass Reeves and it is easy to see how people could love a period piece like this and want to see more and think it is compelling TV, but it just seems to be dragging right now. What is the end game? What do we have to look forward to? It does not seem like there is a clear plan and with the way this week's episode unfolded it also seems like they are just going to have Bass do a case of the week and then move on. What is the point of telling a story like this if there is no big bad villain to go after or no long-term growth from the man whose name is in the title?
