I enjoyed very much this journey in Kerala: beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.
There are so mny interesting aspects of Kerala: one of the earliest elected Communist government anywhere (priority to the education and the health of the population), the Ayurvedic medicine (the Ayurvedic hospital of the Niramayam Heritage), the high level of leteracy-96 % of t total population ( the example of Sreelakshmi Suresh-the web designer who received a golden award of the Web Masters association), Amma ( the great living soul who is receiving and hugging thousands of visitors ), the Backwaters between Kollam and Kochi (about 1 million of persons living along these water canals that they use for fishing, for washing their clothes and their entertainment, Moncy the peddler with his boat, the coconut farmers), the national park of the elephants ( there are still 7000 wild elephants in Kerala,Vanchy the photographer, the domestic ornated elephants at the Trichur elephant festival), the kalari payat sport ( the oldest Indian martial art, the ñlearning of the flexibilty and the mental concentration, the participation of the women in this sport), the Elephant festival at Thrissur (or Trichur) with the ornated elephants and the procession).
I enjoyed the encounters of Jérôme with the lady in Trivandrum ( the talk about the education in Kerala, the deonstration in the streets and the the spice market), with Sarva Atma Mithiza ( the visit of the Ashram of Sivagiri with the tomb of Sree Narayana Guru-the social reformer-, with the Swami Sukshmamanda and the talk about the spirituality, the lessons of the Guru-One caste-one religion. One god, the welcome at Sarva's house, the yoga practice, the visit of the Ayurvedic physician and the cleansing rituals), with Resmil Jaimon in Kochi ( the fishermen at the seaside, the Jewish cementery, the spice depot, the Kathakali performance and the festival for the Ayyappan God-te elephants and the people playing drums): very nice encounters with very nice Keralian men and women.
