In this era of enforced political correctness and baffling (read: grating) ideological orthodoxies, it is utterly refreshing to come across a film that treats the evergreen subjects of love, diversity, courage and belonging with such a light touch, yet still manages to deliver the message with much conviction. The fictional setting is magical - believe it is the picturesque town of Sighisoara, the home of Dracula - and well fitted to the whimsical storyline, expertly crafted by the writer(s). Direction is sublime, photography crisp, the acting captivating and engaging (the little boy is joy to watch). Not sure if it's out for general release yet - I had a pleasure and privilege to watch it at the Royal Television Society awards ceremony, where it scooped up the award for the best short in the Entertainment and. Comedy category - but it is certainly worth seeking out & watching.
