- RSPCA answers the call to find forever homes for 100 Chihuahuas from a retiring breeder. They readily find homes for 98, but it's the final two most timid dogs that need some special attention. Meanwhile a devoted pet parent puts herself at risk to fight off her dog's attacker.
- After taking in 100 Chihuahuas from a retiring breeder, the RSPCA have found homes for 98, but the final two, Layla and Sigrid are incredibly timid and it's going to take all the skills, patience and love of the RSPCA Behaviour and Adoption teams to get them ready for their furever homes.
Meanwhile at QVS Pet Emergency a fluffy white Cobber dog arrives in the arms of his owner after a dog attack. With blood on his snowy white coat, Dr Tess firstly has to determine whose blood it is, his or his Mum who bravely rescued him, but now herself lies in hospital nursing badly injured hands in need of surgery.
Also attracting attention of both the Medical and Adoption teams at RSPCA are two designer breed cats and a one-year-old Shar Pei, once considered to be a very rare breed of dog. The cats, Hazel and Earl Gray were dumped at a construction site together before being rescued and brought into the RSPCA. Both are needing medical attention, with Hazel creating the most cause for concerns with the threat of infection caused by her matted and unkept coat. Cats like this are rarely seen at a welfare agency, but will this beautiful pair be able to stay together and find a new furever home?
Meanwhile another pure bred, Hank the Shar Pei is quite the handful as this young free spirit is in need of both surgical treatment and behavioural training before he can be rehomed. Hank is suffering from a common eye problem this bred can be troubled by. But in the sure hands of the RSPCA Vets, things are starting to look up for Hank.
