Amateur basic film
tux-1227 September 2023
Even for a low budget television film it is incredibly bad. It has been a long time since I watched actors playing like these ones. If you imagine Emily in Paris turned into a thriller then prepare to smile at everything: the dialog, the characters, the story... All actors are beginners, but the one playing Antoine is even worse. A robot would be better. Shifra Zuckerman is the only decent one, but if she gets better roles in the future she will probably laugh when remembering this disaster.

Awful and terrible are the only descriptive words coming to my mind. A few aerial views of Paris are not enough to make it authentic.

Just shaking my head!

I watch a lot of Lifetime movies and while not always epic films, they're generally entertaining. This one just made me angry. From the ridiculous plot to the caricaturish cast of characters to the inane dialogue, it was a complete and utterly waste of time. I was angry at myself for watching the whole thing but I kept hoping I'd find something redeeming. I didn't. And I'll never get that time back.

The only saving grace was the scenery. Quite pretty. I wonder how movies like this Get made. Surely between the salaries and production costs the money could better have been spent on some deserving charity - perhaps a fund gor better writers??

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?

Really likes Shifra Zuckerman- nice to see teenagers- not 20 somethings trying to be teens.

Decent movie, but so little reality in it. 18 year old American escapes- not once, not twice, not three times, but four times. And she does it so easily. Definite escape from reality. She escapes from the American Embassy, she escapes from a Paris Police station, she escapes from a police woman who has a gun, and then she escapes from a killer who knows he will die if he doesn't kill her. And each escape was easier than the last. More realism in these scenes would have gotten the movie a higher score. It gets a 7 for Shifre.

From Paris With Love

Warning: Spoilers
Lucy Cunningham is a starry-eyed American studying abroad in Paris. She soon gets to know the City of Light from the unanticipated vantage point of an accused murderer!

Lucy is smitten right away by Antoine Verdier, who is conveniently part of the family with whom she is residing in Paris. But after witnessing the ugly scene of a crime of passion, Lucy suddenly realizes that she is being framed for the murder.

With a corrupt judge, a dirty police lieutenant, and a spineless representative of the American embassy, the quick-thinking Lucy defies the odds in escaping the authorities to investigate the crime on her own. She finds an ally in Antoine and discovers that he is a talented artist with a studio in Montmartre.

There was some terrific film footage of Paris, as well as a talented group of bilingual actors creating the ambience of the great city. The pacing of the film was brisk, and the love theme was reinforced with a subplot related to the true parentage of Antoine. There was a nice touch in the denouement that promised plenty of action in the future awaiting the two love birds.

Well done T.V. movie thriller
DarkVulcan2921 August 2023
I like the idea that this T. V. movie is like an old Alfred Hitchcock thriller, I like the Paris setting, and the main character you really grow to like, you just root for her all the way through.

A college student studying in Paris, suddenly finds her time in Paris a total nightmare, when she suddenly finds herself on the run, after being framed for murder. But the question remains will she prove her innocence before it's too late?

Very well made, and has some surprises around the corner. I like how the main character learns to get clever along the way. If you are looking for a T. V. movie to pass the time, then Her Deadly Night in Paris is that movie for you.
