Burari Deaths Again
thedetectivecruxyt28 August 2023
I do not recommend this if you've already watched or know about the Burari Deaths. If not you can watch it. I've seen the first episode and the cast looked decent and watching through further episodes might give you the thrill vibes. This Particular case has many interesting things and that will be a plus point to the series. Tamanna looks confident in this role. This should probably work good for the first time watchers but I felt the thrill from Netflix documentary "The House of Secrets" . I felt disappointed with taking the same concept for a webseries .. Even if you aren't docu-philic you'll love that documentary. It's upto you to decide.. Documentary with Real life images or Web Series with Reel life Charecters.

Prioritise your mental health too!
jxyzmqjkc1 October 2023
Based on true events. Throws light on how trauma and disturbed mental health can lead to disastrous consequences if not treated at the right time!!! It's high time people understand that mental wellbeing is as important as physical wellbeing!!

There's also a documentary on this story on Netflix!

It shows how a mentally disturbed man goes on to make his family also believe in his stories and all together take their lives committing mass suicide one night!! The series is kind off slow paced. Creating another story line of the inspector was not required since it feels very incomplete. Thamanna's character isn't as strong as I expected it to be.

Time Waste !!
maloopulkit1 September 2023
After indulging in "House of Secrets" on Netflix, I couldn't help but feel that this particular series was a letdown, deliberately maximizing its dullness. My anticipation dwindled rapidly within the very first episode. It's a true shame because the core story holds such promise, but the execution fell flat, leaving me thoroughly disappointed.

The original "House of Secrets" on Netflix was a rollercoaster of suspense and intrigue, a show so captivating that you'd find yourself glued to your seat, eagerly awaiting each twist and turn. It kept you on the edge of your seat, with a narrative that effortlessly drew you in and held your attention.

Given the stark contrast in quality between the two series, I can't help but think that they should reconsider releasing any further episodes of this disappointing adaptation. It's disheartening to see such a promising story and plotline mishandled in this manner. Perhaps, they should take a cue from the original and strive for the same level of gripping storytelling that made "House of Secrets" on Netflix an absolute must-watch.

I found it disrespectful to the family members of the Burari case
bitansarkar-7657727 August 2023
Portraying real-life tragedies like the Burari mass murder case for entertainment purposes requires a delicate and thoughtful approach. Unfortunately, adaptations such as the web series "Akhri Sach" often fail to uphold this responsibility. The concern isn't merely about the act of adaptation itself, but the manner in which it is executed.

Tragic events like the Burari case involve the loss of real lives, the pain of surviving family members, and the ripple effect on the community. Such adaptations risk oversimplifying complex situations and reducing them to mere entertainment. This can be deeply distressing for those affected, as it undermines the gravity of their experiences.

While entertainment can serve as a medium to explore human experiences, it's crucial to recognize the line between respectful storytelling and sensationalism. The creators of such adaptations should consider the impact of their work on the memory of the victims and the emotional well-being of the families involved.

Rather than exploiting the shock value of real tragedies, responsible storytelling should aim to shed light on the human aspects of these events. The focus should be on understanding the motivations, circumstances, and the broader context that led to such incidents. This requires thorough research, empathy, and a commitment to honoring the truth.

In summary, the adaptation of real-life tragedies for entertainment purposes, like "Akhri Sach," can come across as inconsiderate and disrespectful. It's a reminder that creators have a responsibility to handle such topics with care, sensitivity, and a deep understanding of the impact on those affected. The goal should be to raise awareness, foster empathy, and encourage meaningful discussions, rather than sensationalize or trivialize profound human experiences.

Well made, could have been better.
karthik-1644223 September 2023
In a nutshell, if you had found the Burari case intriguing, this show will not disappoint you.

The screenplay is a nice adoption of the original story where the key details have been preserved while making changes where there was an opportunity to add the fiction angle and also spin a meaningful story. The narration is good and sets up the premise to make you want to pursue the story despite knowing it from the Netflix documentary. While the facts were known, a story is always better when told in a way where you can perceive the psyche of the characters from their own PoV, even if it was actually the director's cut.

The Netflix documentary was really good and actually compliments this show. Without that initial foundation this show wouldn't really have the impact it is meant to have. However, documentaries are just facts and that was what it was in this case too. So a webseries that actually brings those characters to life and makes them narrate their own story..that's the main reason you don't want to miss this.

Overall a good watch, however, some characters haven't done much justice to their roles. And adding unnecessary characters and giving them screen space was a turn off. Nobody is interested in the personal lives of characters other than the victims here, so adding that extra background story for Tamannah's character was totally a filler and deviates the viewer's attention.

Disgusted!!
hemzmaverick00028 August 2023
The worst way anyone can twist a tragic very straightforward story into a murder mystery. The original documentary on Netflix is 1000x better than this mockery of emotions and deceased people. Do not watch if you believe real docuseries , watch the original on Netflix rather. It was a mass suicide motivated by shared delusions of the family members. Tragically it was more related to mental health. It was. A foolish decision to remake something which is already so popular in its authentic form. If the producers were trying to show the police's mentality and course of action during that investigation, then it's little bit buyable.

Dark!
kartiksharma13921 September 2023
"Aakhri Sach" is an outstanding series that left a profound impact on me. It takes real events from the Burari case, and presents them with an incredible level of detail and accuracy. The dedication to portraying the events as they happened is commendable.

The series masterfully captures the essence of the case, drawing viewers into the mysterious and chilling world of the Burari incident. The attention to detail, from the character portrayals to the settings and dialogues, is impeccable. It truly felt like reliving those moments as they unfolded in real life.

One of the most commendable aspects of "Aakhri Sach" is how it respects the sensitivity of the subject matter. It doesn't sensationalize or exploit the tragedy for entertainment; instead, it strives to understand the complexities of the case and the human psyche behind it.

The series keeps you engaged and guessing throughout, and the storytelling is gripping, making it a must-watch for those who enjoy true crime dramas.

Overall, "Aakhri Sach" is a remarkable series that not only entertains but also prompts viewers to reflect on the darker aspects of human nature and the complexities of real-life events. It is a testament to the power of storytelling when done with integrity and respect for the subject matter. Highly recommended!

What's happening?
karthikkumaravel-525672 September 2023
Waitttt.... What's happening in this series?

I thought this series is based on the burari case. But it's going as a crime mafia thriller. This series is conceived in a wrong way. The crew never mentioned based on a true story so probably they just took the case and did their own treatment. The place where it fails is they failed to explain clearly that this is completely imaginary. And should have changed things like number of people died, their age, their background everything.

Anyways this series is not engaging or interesting. Tamannah low key poor acting. She did the same reactions she did in November story.

How to glamorise a calamity
Comphunk31 August 2023
I love murder mysteries and I causally played this. On the first scene itself I figured it out , that it's related to the Old Delhi Burari case. The next scene shows Bhatia in skimpy clothes. Story is twisted to make it look like a murder mystery. I had to turn it off after 5 mins. This is outright disrespectful to the victims and the family members of the Burari deaths. Indian shows are mostly copy of US or scandanavian shows when it comes to murder mysteries

Just watch the Netflix documentary which came out last year. That is 100 times better than this. I hate watching half naked women portraying police inspectors.

Totally lacks logic
pratik-9192925 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
*Spoiler Alert* Bhuvan pulled the strings which were attached to the stools that those people were standing on, but the police totally failed to notice the strings already attached to the stools in the morning.

Totally lacks any logic that we can relate to the real life.

Please don't waste any of your valuable time to watch this series.

In this baffling turn of events, Bhuvan masterminded a scheme involving strings tied to the stools upon which unsuspecting individuals stood. What defies all reason is the glaring oversight by the police, who failed to detect these very strings in the morning. It's a perplexing twist that lacks any semblance of real-life logic. Given these inconsistencies, I'd advise against investing your precious time in watching this series. There are likely more compelling and coherent narratives out there to explore.

Terrific retelling of a known incident
surbhipal-2870514 December 2023
This is one of the shows where I was sceptical at the beginning but it grew on me gradually as I kept watching it. Everything got better, including the performances. The last few episodes were a standout, and in retrospect everything made sense. The very last episode is goosebumps material and Abhishek Banerjee's performance is stunning. Tamannah is good too, perhaps one of her best performances. Giving it a 10 on 10 because of what it made me feel, despite a few flaws. The background music and some of the performances could have better. One last thing - I normally get annoyed when shows are about messaging but in this one it felt kinda organic. Easily one of the best shows of 2023.

This is a waste of time

Rather watch the Netflix documentary House of Secrets which is far better.

The issue with this series is most of the people knows what happened actually in real life. Whereas it is made from a filmy perspective.

Avoid if you don't want to waste your time. Acting is below par. Under utilizes Abhishek Banerjee. Also it should have ended in season 1 itself but has been dragged to season 2. The case was not so long. Also everyone knows it is still not solved why drag it to two or more season. While watching it seemed as an Indian daily soap more.

P. S. - should have not been made.

Reality is always slow as shown, tamana and Shivin star of series🌟
mistryjanu-4578727 September 2023
Reality is always slow. Who can read long register so fast? It's obvious. Series doesn't look twisted at all. Important part is acting which senior actors does well. And Tamanna and Shivin does their best and intense act wishing them a more movies together and differently. Shivin is a rising star came from tv he must get more movie opportunities he is very versatile and intense actor, I am one of his fan since beyhad2 and wish to see him in more movies and Tamanna looks beautiful would like to see her in unique stories.

Series dont have lots of episodes which is appropriate as required and thank god not stretched to second season which is genuine. And next time want anything on hotstar in one time. Not weekly episode release. From my end best series and full 10 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Skipe this, watch House of Secrets Burari Documentrary on Netflix
sshival25 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is an adaptation of the House of Secrets Burari Deaths thats streaming on Netflix...thats far better than the sensationalised version presented here.

That documentry explains in chilling manner how this unfolds and this one just dramatic version with Tamannna moved into the mix.

You will fins some funny CGI's trying to make this more senssational but its not that serious depication of what happened actually......you have to see tamannna emote to this and if you like this kinds stuff then go ahead...but the real investigation is shown in the Netflix documentry and even the tries to solve it with it suggestions of the main villain past....

This series on Disney hotstar is totally avoidable else if you like Tamana bhatia then go ahead and watch it.

Aakhri Sach (final truth) don't waste time
gunmasterg928 September 2023
Why drag this over 6 weeks? Just release the whole series at once. Waste of time.

With so many different digital media they are trying to fulfill content and there so comes to trying to conceive 'original' stories but at the same time they need creative minds and decent actors.

The way the narrative unfolds I fell asleep multiple times as I got bored but I needed to see how it's concluded since I had committed so much time already.. call it my mental health condition or OCD I need to complete the series even if it is rubbish. After already been let down with the ending season 3 of The Witcher, which I only just managed to complete, I thought this may be able to offer the closure that I was missing this week but I guess I am going to have to seek it elsewhere.

Waste of Time, Boring Series!
kentfoodbloggerh5 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
First of all Director & Producer of this Series are from another Planet. Webseries are advanced options of Old types of Serials, Movies with Strength & Exact Length while they're releasing Each episodes on every Friday like they're producing Games of Thrones wherein people are eagerly waiting for their episodes. Nonsense, Nobody has such time & pession to wait & watch these episodes constantly. Indian Crowd always love to finish webseries like movies in one go. If you're not capable then don't make webseries & release on OTT. Make it serial & release on TV Channel. Overall this Series don't have that spark & Creating excitement among us. Wasting talent like Tamanna Bhatia & Abhishek Banerjee badly.

Sensitive portrayal of a tragedy
leothoughts23 September 2023
I loved the way this show portrayed the tragedy. It starts out as an investigative thriller and a slow-burn with the various layers of the narrative unravelling bit by bit. Tamannah looks a little awkward at the beginning but her character grows wonderfully through the investigation and at the end you understand it's as much her story as the family's. The makers stay away from sensationalism and are gritty and realistic throughout. And finally Abhishek Banerjee - what can this actor not do? He's understated and subdued at the beginning but towards the finale - he stuns you with a knockout punch. Highly recommend!

Go on Netflix
anankitu8 September 2023
If you're looking for a compelling and engaging viewing experience, I'd strongly advise checking out "House of Secrets" on Netflix rather than "Akhri Sach" on Prime. "House of Secrets" has proven to be a riveting series with its intriguing storyline, well-developed characters, and top-notch production values. The show keeps viewers on the edge of their seats, making it a great choice for those who enjoy mystery and suspense.

On the other hand, "Akhri Sach" on Prime, while it may have its merits, doesn't quite match up to the level of excitement and intrigue that "House of Secrets" offers. The plot may not be as gripping, and the character development might be lacking in comparison.

In conclusion, if you're in the mood for a captivating mystery series, "House of Secrets" on Netflix should be your go-to choice. It provides a more thrilling and immersive experience that's sure to keep you entertained throughout.

Pathetic....
solankiharry9 September 2023
Overall, the fourth episode of the Disney+ Hotstar series is flat and dull. Tamannaah's constant startled expressions are getting monotonous. Anya is a poorly written character because even after 4 episodes, hardly any quality makes us interested in knowing her. Her personal tragedy is the biggest and worst distraction in the crime series... The show has made the Rajawat family look like a side character in their own story. The series starts with their bodies hanging inside the house. But even after 4 long episodes, the makers refuse to tell us anything more than just the small fillers. With only 2 episodes left, I wonder how they will piece it all together. The Burari Death case of 2018 was so dense and had so much to uncover. So, the makers might overstuff everything in the last two episodes. But if they again add a random Anya plot to the story, we might get a half-baked story as it has been from the beginning.

Grim, organic and mindboggling
aagarwal-6584024 October 2023
One star deducted for the weekly drops. I read some of the negative user reviews and realised that these are all kneejerk reactions to the first 2 episodes.

The makers have stayed close to the real events and created a compelling tale that will give you goosebumps. Tamanna looks monotone at the beginning but gradually comes to her own as her character evolves. Abhishek Banerjee is spectacular, he keeps getting better with every project. The ensemble cast looks okay, but could have been better (going by the ensemble casts of other realistic shows). Don't compare it with the documentary. Both have different treatments.

A must watcher
kilorome22 September 2023
All well first I deduct one point on the entry of Tamannaah. How foolish and kiddish a director can be of making this entry. Even if Tam.. wanted to show all her glamorous looks this scene cud fit in episode 5

Now Tam.. is like mirror mirror of the wall who is heavier of them all . Tam is 10 out of 10 just checked Dahad of SS the Kajol lawyer the k Khan bhudape show . Tam is most beautiful most stunning and best actor ofcourse on OTT if U look at her eyes that speaks .

On this real Reel story I say it goes with the flow and looks like it's handled well and good research is done the director make sure to pressure point where it is required Tam.. makes a punch and other actors didn't goof up the real going of flow.

It's a much watcher in simple word.

Its decent portray orginal story
avishekdut-3712728 December 2023
I don't know why do much hatred for this story, it is not very good series but it is quiet decent series to watch. Good acting perfomance, decent screenplay and overall sound direction.

Some people are comparing this netflix dicumentory that we have to understand normal series and documentory have immense difference. Definately this series could be better but if anyone says it is worthless that is completely wrong. The total six episodes are quite engaging if anyone don't know the actual story they really liked it. Another thing definitely need to mention the locatiin, house and others parts is very sumilar to original house ot locality.
