- A 16th century lord wakes up in the 21st century and is shocked and dismayed by the modern world. However, his opinion changes when he meets a charming history professor who has written a book about him.
- Lord Henry Boddingham III wakes up in the 21st century and discovers his beautiful castle now lies in ruins. Before he has time to fully process this turn of events, a class of college students, led by Professor Lyndsey Kyna, approaches. Dismayed and afraid, Boddingham flees behind a nearby rock to eavesdrop. Professor Kyna tells her students about the history of the castle and the mysterious disappearance of its 16th century inhabitant. It is revealed that she has written a book all about Boddingham, which she was forbidden from publishing because the castle's current owner believes it would lead to bad publicity. Just when the group is about to leave, Boddingham makes his appearance. He reveals his identity, but Kyna and most of the students are skeptical. When he proves he knows information about Boddingham's story, Kyna agrees to meet him after class.
On his way to their meeting spot, Boddingham marvels at modern technologies including a car, a laptop, and a blue-tooth speaker. He soon runs into Cody, a conspiracy-loving student from Kyna's class, who encourages Boddingham's relationship with Kyna while showing him the joys of hammocks. Kyna arrives and discusses her book with Boddingham, who is intrigued by her mention of Shakespeare in the first chapter. Boddingham reveals that he knew Shakespeare and prevented him from publishing a play. Kyna is both enraged and intrigued by this, and eventually convinces Boddingham to lead her to where the copies of this play are buried.
As they approach the burial spot, Boddingham opens up about his life and the effect his father's passing had on him, causing Kyna's suspicions about his identity to waiver. They dig up the copies of the play, but much to Kyna's dismay, the pages are ruined. The discovery does, however, lead her to finally believe Boddingham's story. She realizes that now, with the real Lord Henry Boddingham III by her side, she can rewrite her book in a way that will appease the castle owner and share Boddingham's true story with the world.
One year later, Kyna has successfully published her book with the help of her partner, "Harold Bottlehorst." Her students are delighted by their success and gift Boddingham a blue-tooth speaker to celebrate.
