Well done
Chef7420 March 2024
This episode is well done. As in well done steak, a bit overcooked. I am not going to pretend I understand everything 100%. Maybe that is what the writer wants us to feel. Feel as confused as the actual characters. Even after they (and we) learn that there are at least 2 alternate universes, this episode was hard to follow. They even color coded the kids for us with their outfits and different hats. I liked the Schrödinger touch. Although I was surprised that a cat would stay alive with nobody around to feed it. As far as I know they didn't bring a cat with them. I was waiting for a scare jump with the cat for the entire episode. Too bad they don't that kind of stuff anymore. The father is a generic father in each universe. I guess this is what they mean by "men don't change" ;) There was one point where I said "continuity director fell asleep". Because, probably intentionally, events started jumping a lot.

They kept playing the mommy/mama card a bit longer. I kept thinking of family guy episode.

"Mommy, mama, mommy, mama, mommy, ma, mama. What? Hi!"

In short lots of tension, drama. Maybe universes will collapse or something in the last episode. In may go in any direction. Not sure why I cannot give 10. Maybe they tried too hard.

My review is like the episode itself: all over the place.

Edit: Spelling mistake and an excuse for my badly written review.

Never saw such a beautiful implementation

Warning: Spoilers
Although the whole series is going a bit dull, the way this episode is directed/ presented is on another level.

Now I have high hopes from coming season finale as well as next season, hope they continue the momentum.

Emotions of both the characters are really nicely handled, I never really saw such a beautiful implementation of parallel universe. And the fact that the kid in both the world's are actually different and are real life twins, adds cherry on top.

Hoping for a big bang in the season finale, please do not disappoint. I don't think Jo will get back to her real world anytime soon, let's see.

15 minutes or 50?
byzhm21 March 2024
This series had me the first couple of episodes. As the series progresses, the story telling slows. This moment in time is stretched out and could have been effectively moved along in a matter of minutes. Instead this moment is played over and over, reviewing what was shared last episode. It is a montage of in and out of the snow, looking in mirrors, yelling, "mama," fires, blue lights and staring at the symbolism. I barely made it through this episode. Yes, yes the symbolism is obvious, much like a, "like a hammer to the head." The two realities collide into almost a third. I hope next week is more satisfying and this ends with no loose ends. I can't imagine a second season of this plot line or another reality... I do love sci fi based in reality and a snappier story line so I hope this genre continues. But, let's move it forward a bit quicker!

A filler already?
no_vampires_here22 March 2024
Why was this needed? It was clear already what is going on yet an entire episode with replays over and over and over... The story slowed down each episode so much.

I mean, the entire plot is kinda annoying, we also have those two insufferable male characters - the dad and the lover - the kid who keeps repeating "mama" 70 times and the cat thing who is cringe, really, Schrödinger? It didn't look smart, seriously.

The show started alright and by each episode turned into a cheap series like those on AXN years ago.

Anyway, when the old scientist started to get into this replay/realities too I just gave up, really cheap writing to fill in time to make a series.

Bad
ekadam-7535023 March 2024
I cannot recommend this series, due to the full selection of amateur actors. The little girl is a very annoying character, unwatchable for me, terrible amateur and annoying. I thought after the first part that we would finally see a good little sci-fi space series, and for that we get the amateur cinematography of the little girl and her annoying character. It is a huge director's fault that they are trying to entrust a 10-year-old child with an adult role have you ever seen a 10 year old act? Well, they don't behave like that. This is one of the main reasons why the series was not so good. The other reason is confusion. The viewer is completely confused while watching the series. This is a weak C category 5/10 background series.

Episode 7

Warning: Spoilers
Just when you think the writers have an idea of what they are doing and that this was all going to make sense they go and throw this our way.

Visually it was certainly something. As a fan of the sci-fi and the thriller genres I really loved that element of, but it is just hard to create much of an explanation. There is no way that a Fisher Price toy is able to connect these multiple universes and allow the two Alices to talk.

Aesthetically and visually this was something to watch, but that is not enough to make up for a story that has never really made all that much sense to this viewer at home.
