I enjoyed very much this journey on the ViaRhôna: beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.
There are some interesting aspects about this long-distance cycling route: Jessica, Vincent and their two children traveling during 3 weeks along this cycling route (the 47 kilometers stage of the day, the carrying of the camping tent, the crossing of the gateway and the nice water fall), Christine and Philippe traveling with their electric bikes (two stages every year, the stay in the hotels), the Rochemaure bridge (the suspension gateway), Olivia Bastid and the electric bikes tours in the nature reserve of the Camargue-the famous Camargue horses-), Yannick and Nico exploring the branches of the Rhône river near Lyon (the canoe and the kayack), the water joust at Bourg-les-Valence (the boys and girls enjoying this water sport), Simon and the bike tour in the Ardèche (the Syrah vineyar, Raphaël--the wine maker-, the barrrels in the grotto and the the quartet in the cellar), Lino Lazzerini (the 77 years od amateur cycling champion, the bicycle collector, the workshop full of bicycles and cyclist jerseys, the vintage bicycle tour at Cavaillon), the carpenter Eddie Jeantet and the making of wooden bike frames), some interesting places to visit (the hydroelectric dam of Génissiat-open to the public since 2018-, the Maison du Chocolat à Tain l'Hermitage with its pastry workshops or the fishing spot at the Eyrieux river with the fishing guide Bastien), the Bocyclo company (the personalized bicycle and the leather saddles made with the leather produced by the Roux tanneries).
I enjyed very much the encounters of Jérôme with Daniel Bernard at Chanaz, with Céline (the Wilma trademark) and Marie Baron at Lyon, with Jordan Avenel, the manager of thge cycling club "Lyon Sprint Evolution and the training of young cyclists, with Nicolas Bejoint-the Grimpeurs Cyclist House- and with Sébastien Bouillet the pastry chef of Lyon, with Alain Sousa and Marianne,-the truck farm and guesthouse near Valence, the organic farming and the environmental protection, with Juliette Petit and the associative store of 20 farmers-, with Marie Viennet at the Saint-André Abbey, with Romain-the visit of the Italian gardens of the abby, with Jérôme Zindy-the journalist traveling with his solar-powered bike, with Armand Arnal at Arles (the walk through the town, the vegetable garden and the restaurant, the risotto and with Raoul Mailhan, the cattle breeder (the horseback riding in the nature reserve of Camargue); nice encounters with very kind French men and women.
