The project, from pitching to screening, took more than three years, including more than a year shooting on set.
The camera, an extremely worn out Canon EOS 5D Mark II, finally broke during the last shots. It was a camera used by Escac film school students since 2008. Some shots were photographed with another Canon DSLR belonging to director Andrei Simkin.
Director and animator Andrei Simkin currently (as of February 2024) works at Laika Studios in Portland, Oregon. He got their interest by sending them some dailies of this film.
Director of photography Adrián Fuentes engineered and handmade the little led lights in the candles, the desk lamp and the control room to make them usable and dimmable. That is why he got the additional credit "light engineer".
