True Brit Entertainment has picked up Michael Sarnoski’s thriller The Death Of Robin Hood for release in UK-Ireland. The film is set to star Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer.
A24 will release in the US. WME Independent is representing sales.
The US feature sees Robin Hood grappling with his past life of crime and murder, and faced with a shot at redemption. Production is set to start around February 2025 with shoot location yet to be confirmed. Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett are producing through Ryder Picture Company and Alexander Black for Lyrical Media. Lyrical Media is fully financing the film.

Exclusive: Beta Film has picked up distribution rights to French thriller Homejacking, which is co-created by Lupin writer Tigran Rosine, and will launch sales at Series Mania.
The German major has revealed its slate for the Lille confab that kicks off in two weeks, with Homejacking set to air in the French Competition Section.
Commissioned for French pay-tv network Ocs, Homejacking is set in an affluent suburban residence where one morning, a middle-class couple is the victim of an intrusion by a hooded assailant. No one know yet what he is looking for, but deep in their basement lies a secret that was hidden for decades.
The series is co-created by Rosine, who penned eight episodes of Netflix smash Lupin. Florent Meyer (Blackspot) is the other co-creator and show was made in collaboration with Emmanuelle Faguer.

Picturehouse Entertiainment has picked up From Hilde, With Love, the new drama from German director Andreas Dresen (Stopped on Track) for the U.K. and Ireland, adding to a swath of European deals for the title, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival last month.

Morgan Matthews‘ upcoming road movie 500 Miles, starring Academy Award nominee Bill Nighy and buzzy teen actor Roman Griffin Davis, has sold to multiple territories for Beta Cinema, following its launch at the Berlinale’s European Film Market (EFM) last month.
The film has been acquired for Australia & New Zealand (Kismet), Middle East (Front Row), Italy (Maestro Distribution), Benelux (September Film), Greece (Feelgood), former Yugoslavia (Discovery) and Airlines (Aardwolf Films). As previously announced it was acquired by True Brit Entertainment for the U.K.
Beta Cinema has also achieved a handful of pre-sales for Tom Tykwer’s return to cinema The Light, which also debuted at the market, to Benelux (September Film), Greece (Tfg) and former Yugoslavia (Discovery).

Zygi Kamasa’s True Brit Entertainment has acquired UK rights to Morgan Matthews’s 500 Miles starring Bill Nighy and Jojo Rabbit’s Roman Griffin Davis from Beta Cinema.
Billed as a road movie with heart, 500 Miles follows two young brothers running away from trouble at home in England to reach their estranged grandfather (Nighy) on Ireland’s wild west coast.
The film is being prepped to shoot in Kerry, Ireland in the summer.
Matthews, director of X+Y (A Brilliant Young Mind) and documentary Williams, will direct from a script by Malcolm Campbell, based on the novel Charlie And Me by Mark Lowery.
