I expected a lot of Peggy Lee but got a lot of Swing Era. Peggy sings eight songs at the beginning by Telescriptions recording. They look like trailers of movies; some songs are "I May Be Wrong," "I Only Have Eyes for You," and "I Cover the Waterfront." She dresses the part for the song with her husband.
Then the DVD takes a turn and we get June Christy. Christy is pretty good but not the reason I watched the DVD. I did learn about June Christy by looking her up.
Then a lot of Ina Ray Hutton wiggling around. She is worth looking up as her story is convoluted and that is not even her name. She has an all-female orchestra.
Wait there is Lorrain Page and Rita Rio to boot.
