My overall rating of "Bron/Broen"'s Season 2: 5/10
This episode has its share of faults - from its original sin of bad camerawork and editing through the bizarre police behaviour going against all prior procedure in the siblings' compound to the ending setting up the god-awful 10th episode; but there must be a world where this is the Season 2 finale for "Bron/Broen". Imagine wondering what direction Martin's life is going to take now. Is there hope for him? Imagine wondering whether he is to ever restore the friendship with Saga until the next season brings a definite answer.
Now, I'm very much of the opinion that series which are not about saving the world shouldn't have episodes or finales about saving the world, but this episode handles the plot as well as at all possible, and the cops don't by themselves save the world, or even a plane - they don't get any information out of the perpetrator, and the only reason why the world is saved is because the cops alert the people who then take note of an extraordinary event and are rightly advised to expect foul play. The world being saved by everyone doing his job is grounded enough for me.
