- Repurposing the International Space Station for Paniagua Earth-Lunar Orbit; I (Virginia Rae Callan) produced for my class with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) for Masters of Unmanned Systems and specialization in Space Studies
- Tesla Aerospace Systems plans to repurpose the International Space Station (ISS) in order to prolong the use of an expensive space station for several purposes: continued international collaboration and positive interaction, avoidance of creating orbital debris and other environmental contaminations, and providing space tourists a space station continuously in lunar orbit, and thus improving the economy. Improvements to the International Space Station (ISS) would include additional ion thrusters on the Thrust Pad System (TPS), and Docking Ports (DP) hereafter (TPS&DP). The interior of ISS would need refurbishing with private cabins for each tourist/astronaut containing a zippered sleeping bag and Velcro on the cabin walls to hold personal items, a dining area, and additional personal hygienic facilities. The Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS) would need updating to accommodate the increased number of humans on the station. Appendix A provides an illustration of the proposed upgrade to the underside of the International Space Station, ECLSS graphic, an image of a travel emergency kit with contents, and NASA's FY 2024 budget request. The phases for repurposing the ISS may be found in Appendix B. Appendix C is a photo montage of the Thrust Pad System (TPS) and Docking Ports (DP) (TPS&DP) model from various angles.
