Very well done

As someone who grew up reading the novel this series was based on, I had high expectations. This show is almost perfect. Some details from the book are avoided (as they should be, 'cause they are kinda stupid), but the atmosphere of the story is there.

The director knew what they were doing, but the best part of the show is the cast. The leading man was perfect. Amazing actor. The leading lady...was fine. There are many scenes where Ljiljana was supposed to be upset and cry, and we don't see that. Don't get me wrong, I don't like crying. The thing is that the book character of Ljiljana is very emotional and she goes through a lot in this story, so yes she cries a lot and we feel her emotions and remorse. In the show she doesn't show how sad she really is, but the other characters tell us that she is sad. They tell her not to cry (however we don't see a single tear, at any point).

This probably makes no sense to a casual watcher/reader, but I'm a bit of a book nerd, and this book was my favourite during my childhood, so maybe I should just let it go :).

Overall, it's great!

And the character of Jelka is amazing. She stole the show.
