Actor Jim Donnelly had the unfortunate circumstance of losing his mother a day before the first shoot.
The "Brother" scene was originally supposed to have a Lexus sitting then the Cadillac pulls up. However, because the shoot days got switched around because of rain the owner of the Lexus now needed it for his wife to get to work. So in the scene, the orange car that the drug dealer is sitting in is the car of the director.
"Rosie's Diner" was originally titled "Victoria's Diner". But was changed by the director to commemorate the film to his recently deceased grandmother, Rose Ann Taylor.
While creating the character for the mysterious customer, his job changed 6 times before the writer settled on a pilot.
The plane used in the movie is that of local oil tycoon Jim Horn.
