What I love about this short film is how you can view it. You can just view it as a small boy dressed as Sonic finding an old man who is going to commit suicide, or you can view it as two different forms of one person, a child and an adult. The plot itself can be identified as anything that you want, which is what I love. Does the bird have symbolism? Maybe, it's up to you!
My only negative point to do with this is that without reading into interviews and articles talking about this short film, you don't really get the gist of what the plot is. Of course, I did read into it, and immediately put 2 and 2 together in the ending, but for others, that may be an issue.
All around, fantastic film. Shivers went down my spine in the close ups of the child actor, his face (for some reason) made me think he'd been crying! (I think it was intentional.)
