One of the best documentaries about the Syrian conflict
erikweb6 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Red Lines is a great and very emotional documentary about the difficult but very important work of civilian activists trying to end an armed conflict. The documentary is a must see if you want to understand the complicated conflict and the reasons why the world has turned a blind eye on the war. It is very fascinating to see the two main actors trying to make a difference and changing world history. At the same time it's kind of frustrating to realize that their hope for international support will soon be destroyed because nobody is willing to enter into an war with the regime of Assad. That's why Syria becomes an international shadow battlefield between different interests and extremist movements.

Must Watch Documentary!!!
james-thweatt9 October 2014
This documentary is a must see for any Westerner, particularly those of us in the U.S. For too long we have been isolated about the topics explored in Red Lines. This documentary bravely does what a documentary should-it follows it's subjects in a manner that tells their story without hyperbole and over dramatization. This story, and the political mess that surrounds it, could easily have been exploited, but the filmmakers used their exquisite artistry and talents to tell a very human story which captured the political struggles and human interest perfectly. Anyone interested in a compelling human story should watch this film. Anyone interested in knowing more about the political issues in Syria should watch this film. Anyone wanting to see the truth should watch this film.

Great Film!

Warning: Spoilers
What a great documentary!..a definite must see....you learn so much!!!!....and it really captures and feelings of the actors. The synopsis: The news from the Middle East worsens daily into a nightmare scenario—one eerily foretold in 2012 as two young, unlikely Syrian activists launch a radical plan for bringing democracy to their country, besieged by the brutal Bashar al-Assad regime. Under threat of death and armed only with the Internet, they organize when no one else will. How interesting is that? You learn so much and I would recommend this to anyone to wants to watch a very heart warming movie and learn a lot about concepts in this movie.

This film will move you to action

The thing that I find so compelling about independent media is that it tells the stories of many people whose voices would otherwise go unheard.

Seeing a film like Red Lines pulls you close to the people and places in question and makes you want to get involved. At least it did for me. That is what makes this a powerful documentary.

The two main subjects are young and relatable to the millennial generation and their efforts to help establish a better Syria will challenge viewers to question their own role in this very real and complex ongoing conflict. Red Lines changed my mind-- about how I feel about the U.S.' role in the crisis, about who can be an activist, and about how the lives of others I don't even know in a country to which I have never been will deeply affect my own.

I believe this film is a must-see for everyone because it sheds a powerful light on the greatest humanitarian crisis of our time which is still going on today. It is also a beautiful film in its own right and I found that the graphics, music, editing and camera work made the film even more meaningful.

Red Lines is a bold film. Very few have impacted me as greatly.

US government propaganda mockumentary.

US government propaganda mockumentary.

I saw it as a single vision of one side of history, there is no way to prove that any of the testimonies presented here are true, there is no talk of the involvement and control that the US army has of all the oil fields in Syria or the high impact of economic sanctions on that poor country.

This mockumentary is just a sample of the influence that the USA wants to project on the masses of those who see it, watch it but question EVERYTHING, and don't get wrapped up in that romantic music.

The mockumentary was created by Spark Media, a company with a select group of bankers and government agencies interested in foreign resources.
