Some things in life just happen, although it doesn't really seem that way for Dean. Nothing has 'happened' in a while. Having recently moved away from home, 22-year old Dean struggles to find meaning in the monotony of everyday life in London. He hasn't spoken to his Mum in weeks, and his only friend is his childhood dog, Douglas. He knows it's time for some changes to be made, but he can't seem to find the right motivation, yet. 'As It Happens' explores the importance of embracing our past, while also trying to move forward. It's time for Dean to take some responsibility, but what does it truly mean to 'grow up'?
