When Game of Thrones TV series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss set out to craft an epic series called 3 Body Problem, an adaptation of a trilogy of sci-fi novels written by Chinese author Liu Cixin, for the Netflix streaming service, they were hoping to get four seasons out of the material. But when the first season of 3 Body Problem started streaming in March and pulled in a sizeable but underwhelming number of views, some began to question whether or not Netflix would want any more episodes of the big budget show. Now The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that Netflix has indeed ordered more episodes – but just enough to allow Benioff, Weiss, and co-creator Alexander Woo to wrap up the story. Exactly how many episodes that will be has not yet been revealed.

An upcoming independent horror film with Hereditary and The Conjuring vibes is creeping its way toward screens. Screenwriter Lila McLaughlin is stepping behind the camera for her directorial debut, shooting from a script she wrote that sounds bone-chilling in all the best ways. Joining McLaughlin for Don’t Let Them Out are Emily Rios, Louis Ferreira, and Bonnie Root as primary cast members.
According to Deadline‘s exclusive report, Don’t Let Them Out follows “a struggling woman who journeys to a property she has inherited in hopes of selling it to pay off her debts. But upon arriving to the property, the story takes a terrifying turn when the woman is lured into a desperate scavenger hunt down a perilous rabbit hole.”

Hollywood star Eiza González, who has appeared in the horror series, From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, is often praised for her gorgeous appearance. The entertainment industry often tends to have appearances determine someone’s success, and she has had enough of being reduced to her looks.

So much so, that González was inclined to take drastic measures to appear less attractive. In a recent interview, the actress spoke candidly about how difficult it has been for her to establish herself as more than just a pretty face.

To strive towards an attractive appearance is the norm. It is bizarre to discover that an attractive person genuinely wants to look less hot. In a new interview, Eiza González opened up on how Hollywood works and drove her to the point of altering her appearance to look different.

The Black Mass, the title of actress Devanny Pinn’s directorial debut is not, as one might guess, a reference to a Satanic ritual. It’s the description one of the survivors gave of the man who, across one long night in 1978, attacked four of her sorority sisters, killing two of them as well as attacking a random woman he encountered nearby.
That man was Ted Bundy. That doesn’t mean that The Black Mass is a typical true-crime film or even a straightforward slasher film. Pinn and co-writers Eric Pereira and Brandon Slagle keep the killer in the background figuratively and literally for much of the film.
While he is in almost every scene, or the scenes are shot from his perspective, for the...

Halloween Ends may have killed iconic slasher Michael Myers off on the big screen, but there’s really no stopping a successful horror franchise. Last October, Malek Akkad’s Trancas International Films secured a deal with Miramax Television to develop and co-produce a Halloween TV series… and one person who would be interested in working on the show is Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers director Dwight H. Little, who has racked up a lot of TV experience since his days of working on Halloween 4. There’s also another Halloween project Little would like to work on and has even pitched: a direct sequel to Halloween 4 that would see the return of Danielle Harris and Ellie Cornell as Jamie and her foster sister Rachel!
The subject of Halloween came up while Little was speaking with our friends at Bloody Disgusting to promote his memoir Still Rolling: Inside the Hollywood...

“Have you ever killed anyone?” might not qualify as normal first-date talk. Then again, very little about Mr. & Mrs. Smith‘s relationship — as evidenced in the first trailer for the Prime Video drama — qualifies as “normal.”

Robert Rodriguez only ended up directing an episode of The Mandalorian as a favor to his longtime close friend Jon Favreau after the original choice to tackle “The Tragedy” dropped out, but the Desperado filmmaker delivered one of the show’s best ever outings as well as the single most action-packed one, receiving rave reviews for his work in the process.
Lending a hand has suddenly turned into a full-time gig now following the news that Rodriguez has joined the established dream team of Favreau and Dave Filoni to executive produce next year’s Star Wars show The Book of Boba Fett, which has been confirmed as a four-episode miniseries that will take place concurrently to the events of The Mandalorian‘s third season, and it seems we won’t be seeing one helmeted bounty hunter replace the other as had been speculated in some quarters.

The multi-medium plans of Warner Bros. to complement upcoming Robert Pattinson-starring DC Extended Universe movie reboot The Batman with an HBO Max live-action television series has hit a slight snag with the exit of showrunner Terence Winter.
Creative differences have caused an irreparable rift between Winter—who was initially tapped as showrunner, writer and executive producer—and The Batman director Matt Reeves, who is onboard as an executive producer, according to THR. It would seem that the series Winter envisioned did not match what Reeves, his fellow producers and Warner had in mind. Thus, with the series designed to share some type of tonal and thematic synergy with the 2022-scheduled Dceu movie, the reported clash of visions with the movie team left Winter as the odd man out.
While official comments on Winter’s exit have yet to surface, his exit stands in stark contrast to the seemingly harmonious...
