Earl Cottrell is released from prison after spending three years inside for molesting a teenage boy. His psychologist has serious reservations about his rehabilitation an considers Earl a high risk to re-offend. Supported by his ever faithful wife, Emily, Earl begins his integration into society by spending time re-adjusting to his surroundings. For Earl's victim, Derek, the sentence imposed was far too lenient and after rounding up activists to protests Earl's release, must then decide the best way to confront Earl for the crime he committed.
