[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from the first two seasons of “Stranger Things.”]
“Stranger Things” isn’t afraid to kill off certain expendable characters, but in Season 2, the show almost bumped off one beloved person even earlier. While fans were horrified to see nerdy good guy Bob (Sean Astin) become a snack for a pack of hungry demodogs in the penultimate episode, the Duffer Brothers had actually considered a different storyline in which he would’ve died much earlier… and at the hands of someone he knew.
On the Netflix after-show “Beyond Stranger Things,” the Duffers revealed that originally, Will Byers (Noah Schnapps) was going to become gradually evil as he was possessed, be fully evil by Episode 4, and then kill someone midway through the season.

Should Jack the Ripper be super-hot?
The legendary serial killer has proven a fascinating historical figure for over a century, but that’s largely due to the way his crimes remain shadowed in anonymity, not because of his well-defined torso. And yet as depicted by Josh Bowman in the new series “Time After Time,” Jack the Ripper’s handsomeness and charm overshadow his murderous tendencies. He even addresses said hotness directly during the first episode, saying to his one-time friend H.G. Wells, “I know, I look absolutely dashing.”
That’s right: He’s sexy and he knows it.
It’s weird to see such unambiguous objectification of a serial killer on screen. In fact, this might be the weirdest aspect of the time travel drama, premiering this Sunday on ABC. A reimagining, if you will, of the 1979 film written and directed by Nicholas Meyer, “Time After Time’s” first two episodes serve largely as set-up.

When you idolize someone, a great way to show your adoration is through gift-giving, right? Well some celebrity fans agree, but they take things too far. Celebs don’t always receive normal gifts from adoring fans – they sometimes receive gifts that would make you cringe.
1. Taylor Swift – Turtle Shell
Taylor Swift has a knack for making the celebrity world seem somewhat normal, but one gift from an adoring fan was decidedly not so. This past Christmas, Swift opened a package to find a turtle shell with her own face painted on it.
2. Harry Styles – Sanitary Napkin
Most people would give a boyfriend a customized t-shirt or a watch. These gifts are personal and show you care, but aren’t so personal that they’re awkward. But some people take a much more intimate route. For Harry Styles, that meant receiving a sanitary napkin with his name written on it in Sharpie.

Pee-wee Herman, the delightfully chirpy man-child that he is, hatches a plan for a grand adventure in the first full-length trailer for Netflix’s feature, Pee-wee’s Big Holiday.
Having portrayed the character for more than 30 years, Paul Reubens is practically synonymous with the childlike Pee-wee, and today’s snippet only showcases more of that signature, innocent charm. The prolific Teresa Palmer, who has six films in the can readying for release (including John Hillcoat crime drama Triple 9 and Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups), just signed on for the James Wan-produced horror pic Lights Out.
In a return to the horror genre, where she first made an impression in 2006’s The Grudge 2, Palmer will topline as an imperilled mother. Gabriel Bateman (CBS’ Stalker) was previously announced to be taking on the role of the young son in a family haunted by a supernatural entity that can only be seen in the dark. David F. Sandberg will make his directorial debut on the pic, adapting his terrifying short of the same name. Lawrence Grey and Eric A. Heisserer are attached as producers, with Heisserer scripting an expansion of Sandberg’s story.
