Absolutely Fascinating!
jrronzani22 November 2014
This PBS documentary should be required viewing in schools as early as 6th or 7th grade. Neil Shubin's enthusiasm (which his old partner makes note of in the first episode) is so captivating as he takes on a journey across the globe and reliving his memories of the discoveries he and his colleagues made years ago. I love the variety of case studies that reveal broader scientific facts about evolution. I had a general understanding of anatomy and evolution coming into this documentary, but I learned so many new and interesting facts like how similar our embryos are to fish and reptiles even after millions of years of evolution. The high quality of the animation and motion graphics are icing on the cake. I hope PBS stays around forever. It's so nice to see our tax dollars well spent once in a while.

An Amazing "Evolution Investigation" Documentary
StrictlyConfidential24 July 2020
Your Inner Fish" is certainly one of those outstanding science documentaries that makes learning about evolution fun and entertaining (regardless of one's age).

If you are at all interested in finding out why "we look the way we do" - Then - Join evolutionary biologist, Neil Shubin as he travels to world to uncover the scientifically proven reality behind man's (and woman's) inner fish, inner reptile, and, of course, inner monkey, too.

This first-rate production features lots'n'lots of excellent imagery.

Complete Garbage

I watched this a while back and just laughed most of the way through.

Then I realized how it might be used to educate children on lies and deception and was worried that some may actually believe this trash of a movie.

Note that there is no science involved in this study and the "doctor" is sadly a complete madman. He thinks everyone looks like a fish because he's been indoctrinated into believing we evolved from fish.

He's insane, and it worried me that he is (or was) head of the anatomy department at some university. That's scary. A man this deranged should not be allowed to teach anything more than fairy tales he's made up.

Note that there are no scientific "facts" about evolution in this movie. Just fantastic imaginations and suppositions. Not scientific analysis at all.

He even used Haeckels' embryos as evidence when that man was proven a fraud hundreds of years ago. Talk about out of touch.

So watch this if you want a good laugh. It's pretty funny that someone actually believes the way he does.

Evolution must be his religion.
