I really enjoyed this short film. Just like Dominic Ryan's previous movie, Leap of Faith, I happened to catch this short film at a Film festival near me, and I'm glad I did.
I may have clicked the 'contains spoilers', but I will try not to in my review. This is a wonderful little piece set at a dodgy office Christmas party, no expense has been spent, let alone spared, and everyone there is certainly not enjoying themselves, it makes you wonder why they come in the first place.
This piece follows around 10 different people at this party, so it's very much an ensemble piece and, the jokes are witty, they are not necessarily 'laugh out loud', but it's very witty and you will find yourself smiling throughout. People who watched it with me were cringing as they said moments in it were a little too close to home when they have been at office parties.
I don't know Dominic Ryan's background, whether he worked in an office or not, but he has captured that British humour quite accurately.
Catch this if you can, you won't be disappointed.
