The NCIS: LA team discovers that one of their own is compromised when they investigate the murder of a Navy contractor involved in illegal transactions of confidential data. Meanwhile, Hetty is under investigation in Washington, D.C., when the Department of Justice arrives in L.A. to investigate the team.
The murder of a Defense contractor for confidential data processing brings the team on the trace of an elaborate plot concerning an illegal 'deep' Internet network, used for terrorism and ordinary crime, as turns out even a contract to eliminate its elusive founder 'Papa Legba', whom Eric nevertheless identifies as Justin Stewart. Granger meanwhile resorts to staling tricks when Justice invades the NCIS LA HQ in search of evidence to use against Hetty at her DC congressional committee grilling by special investigator Michael Thomas.—KGF Vissers
When a computer programmer who worked on some Naval Projects is killed, Granger has the team find out what happened. They learn that who killed him was a professional. They also learn that the man may have been trying to extort someone who is behind a dark website, so they set a trap. Hetty is in Washington, appearing before an Oversight Committee and she manages to evade answering their questions, so they send a team from the Justice Department to the HQ to do an audit. When they arrive everyone there refuses to cooperate but they have no choice.—rcs0411@yahoo.com
