"Live and Let Clive" is a solid episode. iZombie is about to get pretty complicated in a hurry. The episode moves at a brisk pace but keep in mind that this episode is jam-packed with some goodies. The episode turns its gears and pays more attention to Blaine and his schemes of extortion. It is made clear that Blaine is definitely evil despite his charm. The episode starts off with a riveting sequence where we see how zombies hide themselves; spray tans, hair dye, and brain smoothies (bleh). Blaine has a zombie army in charge of his business which is selling brains for more money; he even has a restaurant to use as a store front. This is all very interesting and descriptive. This moves Liv to the back, where she has some interesting moments herself.

Of course, we finally see the extent of Blaine's business. We also learn that zombie henchmen need to be wary of him because they can easily be replaced. For this week's brain, Liv takes on the brain of a murdered Chinese triad member. Through the visions, Liv worries that Clive is a dirty cop. She grows more concerned when Clive requests to take on the case alone. She and Ravi track Clive down to a perilous Chinatown store where they learn that this ties in to Clive's past with Vice. Meanwhile, Major needs a new housemate so he is introduced to Ravi and they immediately hit it off as buddies.

Overall, this is a very good episode although it can grow tricky trying to keep track of everything. Liv's brain gives her a sense of paranoia and she plays it off very well. The humor is present more so here. I loved the interactions between Ravi and Major. They exert amazing chemistry with each other. Gosh, I wish I had a good video-game playing friend like that. Also, Liv's brother is creepy-especially when it comes to Peyton.

My Grade: A-

After anticipating an interesting premise back at 2015, I found myself liking this so far. IZombie lived up to it's potential to be a very good show mostly because of Rose McIver, who played the Yellow Ranger in Power Rangers RPM and made her feature film debut in Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones. The pilot episode and second and third episodes were great with solid writing, spot on performances, great use of comedy, drama, and crime, and very likeable characters.

Liv and Let Clive may not be excellent, but it's still another solid episode. Yes, the drama wasn't as strong as the previous episodes and could've been much better, but everything else still holds up. The script is still spot on, the writing is still good, the performances continue to shine with Rose McIver still giving out the best of her role, the comedy is still good, the music score is very riveting and suited the mood and atmosphere of the episode really well. Overall, another solid episode and great continuation! :)

This time we have the team split up, as Olivia eats the brains of a criminal of a Chinese triad and discovers that Clive had some dealings with the triad. Is Clive a dirty cop? Well, Olivia decides to investigate by herself with Dr. Ravi's reluctant help. The change of couple is interesting enough, and does for good banter, but the case is not specially interesting, and half the plot developments can be seen from a mile. "iZombie" seems to be treading water. It has some nice quotes and moments, though, as it tries to spice things up by offering new settings for the cases, and that is quite the good idea. Just Clive and Olivia investigating could become quite stale pretty fast. That Rahul Kohli's Dr. Ravi's an important enough character makes the show way more interesting, as he is doing a great job with the character.

David Anders's Blaine storyline keeps being the least interesting part right now. Blaine seems kind of bland. Maybe it will change in the future, but for now it's just kind of filler.
