Coven is trying to give atmosphere, but while this short is trying to comply with the instructions, it falls short on the timing and delivery of those two.
The short feels, as usual with MJ Dixon's movies, like a mash up of horror tropes, without trying to even understand how to structure anything in a constructive and inventive way, but rather attempting to tie all of it together with poor acting and rather odd choices for camera movements and color schemes.
