Sets up the season wonderfully

Warning: Spoilers
Since season 18, South Park has been very serialized, and slowly but surely, they have slowly perfected this new formula. "Member Berries" sets up the rest of season 20 very effectively, although the episode is a little bloated and tries to cover a few too many topics (similarly to "Stunning and Brave"). The best parts of the episode involve the kids - Cartman's Black Lives Matter, Cartman reading the girls his story, and Kyle's determination in finding out the troll. I also liked the Member Berries themselves, and how they acted as nostalgia - which is funny when you consider how Giant Douche and Turd Sandwich is a callback to season 8's "Douche and Turd". The weakest part of this episode was probably the national anthem subplot with J.J. Abrams - it was humorous but I don't think it will be developed in the upcoming episodes. I am glad that Garrison/Jenner is returning from the previous season, and the timing could not be more perfect with the current election.

The most important moment was definitely the cliffhanger ending where Gerald was revealed to be the troll, and not Cartman - this is a brilliant way to end this first episode because it sets up the rest of the season.

I am very excited for the rest of the season.

Like the reboots it so fantastically mocks, South Park is back with an incredible freshness while also staying faithful to themselves
vincentknight-TV15 September 2016
This is what South Park always was about, and they pretty much perfected it.

Take actual social issues (feminism, crooked presidential candidates), mix them with pop culture references (movie remakes, internet trolls) and create a unique narrative (rebooting the national anthem) that ridicules and mocks the behavior of certain groups or people.

Plus they are still back in making a cohesive narrative out of each season, which I absolutely love.

It was hilarious and thought-provoking, just as the best South Park stuff you've ever seen. It's a 10/10. This is what makes this show so outstanding. Can't wait for the next episode.

South Park Back Better Than Ever
connorlaurino16 September 2016
The newest season of South Park is out and it is back better than ever. With a strong story line, old references, and loads of jokes; I can happily say that this is one of the greatest episodes.

I am really enjoying how this and the last season has been focusing on different characters rather than just the main FIVE boys(main four and Butters).

The episode has satire relating to the most current of events and leaves of with a suspenseful cliffhanger. I can't wait to see where they take the next episode!

Rating this a proud 10/10

Absolutely fantastic!

Warning: Spoilers
South Park proves once again why it's still one of the best shows on television. I might even say that it does a better job at displaying news events than most news outlets these days. These past few years, South Park really declined in quality but by returning to its roots, season 19 and so far season 20 appear to be among the best seasons of the series as a whole. Props to Trey Parker and Matt stone for staying unbiased and bashing both sides equally.

JJ Abrams was captured perfectly with his "reboot" technique and I lost it during the scene where it was announced that the U.S. government wants him to write the national anthem. Cartman's "Token's life matters" shirt was South Park at its finest and I expect to see more Black Lives Matter spoofs in this season

1st episode to Season 20, rated 10 stars?! Absolutely, read on why..

As a rose color shaded South Park fanboy... Starting at Season 1 as a kid and growing up with the series.. I've and many others watched the show progress greatly in a lot of different areas, wether for the good or bad. I remember when this episode aired and season 20, I wasn't immediately sold and after the season concluded, I was slightly dissapointed in coming to the finale. Not in the quality of the finale, but arrivale.

This season is UNIQUE big time in that the plot continues from so 1 to end of the season... New to South Park and I don't believe was welcomed and by first watch, wasn't by me.. I think the weekly airing , for a episodic show, but that had. A overarching plot, was to much for fans at first... When we wait so long for a episode and that episode isn't full fledge South Park, and is a epsidoe that gears itself for a whole season, while retaining episodic qualities is tricky...

When going back and watching season 20 in a BINGE session and just going episode after episode.... The comedy/ writing SHINES way more and reveals its geniusy. Lol. Matt and Trey nailed this season... The comedy is progessed to where we are today, and still retains some old.school south park humor in MANY ways.. The over arching plot was actually interesting, when you know you can binge ahead....

This episode was a great testament to being funny and gearing a season to be a full season plot.

Now goimg back and looking at South Park as a library/archive.. Its nice having Treys and Matt's take on a season long plot that was tied to current events.

Now rip me to shreds for my 10 star rating on anything Season 20 lol.

Terribly Insensitive

Warning: Spoilers
I am ashamed to be contemporaries of these bad awful people who think it funny to go around poking fun of everyone! This episode suggests that trans-gendered individuals are not all wonderful, smart, and awesome! It suggests that race conflict in America is bolstered by the media! It equated our noble presidential candidates to a fecal sandwich and a feminine hygiene item! And worst of all, some portly carriaged youngster is referred to by truly deplorable slur. I myself have a hefty child and people don't realize it is his bone structure, so such hurtful remarks wound me to the core! Please take this terrible, disgusting, show off IMDb so no harmless children will accidentally stumble upon the show!

The Hatedom needs to stop picking on this season
Howard-3003920 December 2016
Honestly,*beep* what PIEGUYRULEZ Says about this masterpiece, Season 20 and 19 were actually good. It taught us about Reboots and Allegations, it taught us satire on how Allegations trolls like Keemstar make can have a big effect on society, it even Portrayed Hillary Clinton as a shady president who wants stuff her way, and the Member berries and Butter's *beep* in the air really shows that Trey Parker and Matt Stone know what they're doing, hell thanks to the Crybaby sheep of the internet, the latest episode states, that the Serialization is over, so go get laid you Burnt Piece of Pie sheeps, because this season told some big things that no one would say, besides, it's 2016, the worst year ever, we got horrible stuff happening, Sheep become more severe,Keemstar,Angry Joe,MrEnter,PIEGUYRULEZ,and Saberspark controlled the Sheep, Trump and Hillary were our Candidates, and so much more this year, so we needed South Park to help us out, not some Internet Shepard like PIEGUY. Honestly, Hatedoms in 2016 are more deadly than last year, with Popplio, Might Magiswords, and now this Season of South Park, goddammit, IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE NEW SEASON THAN DON'T BOTHER.Honestly, Matt and Trey really outdone themselves in this season.
