If you like history and cooking, this is the show for you! It's a beautiful blend of cooking instruction/history focusing on the 18th century. I discovered this by accident and am so glad I did. Prior to watching the series, I had no idea how many varies types of foods and preparation techniques were around in the 18th century. It was very eye opening. I liked this series so much, I purchased the accompanying cookbook for the same name, which has proved to be an enjoyable read. Besides the food, the locations shown in the show inspire me to get out and explore 18th century history in more depth.
