- Abbie Mills: So... Katrina's gonna do her mystical radar thing?
- Ichabod Crane: Yes. If Kent or the Grimoire are near, her Spidey senses shall inform us.
- Abbie Mills: [Impressed] Hey, someone's been catching up on his reading.
- Ichabod Crane: Only the classics.
- Ichabod Crane: Curb thy foul stench, unholy minion!
- Abbie Mills: You really need to work on your trash talk.
- Ichabod Crane: [to Abbie, leaving a house for sale] Call this an exercise in optimism. Generous though you've been in allowing me Sheriff Corbin's cabin, sooner or later I must find a place of my own. Preferably with granite counter tops.
- Abbie Mills: Captain. Thanks for meeting me so late.
- Captain Frank Irving: No worries. I was just watchin' TV. You know there's a show where people go on dates naked?
- Abbie Mills: Yeah, I saw an episode where they cook naked.
- Captain Frank Irving: I should have stayed dead.
- Ichabod Crane: The epithets I hurled at Kent during battle. That was good... good trash talk.
- Abbie Mills: Wasn't bad. For some real practice, I'm gonna hafta take you to a hockey game.
- Ichabod Crane: Hockey...
- Abbie Mills: What are we doing here?
- Ichabod Crane: Exploring. A three bedroom, two bath Craftsman.
- [Pulls a newspaper out of his pocket open to real estate ads]
- Ichabod Crane: Or so I've managed to decipher from this posting.
- Abbie Mills: House hunting.
- [She snatches the paper from him]
- Abbie Mills: You bring me house hunting.
- Ichabod Crane: Less of a hunt, more of a scouting expedition.
- Henry Parrish: [to the 3 thugs at the motel] I know you're all very busy, destroying your lives, day after rich day.
- Abbie Mills: You surprised me out there Crane... Going all Rambo like that. Remind me never to lay a hand on Katrina.
- Ichabod Crane: It was about more than protecting my wife. There's something in Kent's story struck a nerve... That a person could so easily betray the people who trust and rely on him most, and after you said I remind you of him...
- Abbie Mills: Crane, you know I didn't...
- Ichabod Crane: No offense was taken. You made me realize--we are all of us walking a razor's edge between darkness and light.
- Abbie Mills: Come on...
- [Standing up and taking a step closer to Ichabod]
- Abbie Mills: I think we've earned a couple of beers. Wanna grab Katrina?
- Ichabod Crane: No, she is resting... Said she does not want to be disturbed.
- [Crane puts up the peas]
- Ichabod Crane: The epithet I had in battle... That was good--good trash talk, wasn't it?
- Abbie Mills: [Walking toward the door] It wasn't bad, but for some reason practice, I'm going to have to take you to a hockey game.
- Ichabod Crane: [Crane following Abbie out] Hockey?
- Abbie Mills: You know, you and Kent actually have a lot in common. You're both men out of time, unwilling to give up on the women you love.
- Ichabod Crane: How heartening to know you compare me to a murderous warlock.
- Abbie Mills: [chuckling] What I'm saying is... Unlike Kent, you made the right choices. He let his regret over his mistakes turn him into something dark and evil.
- Ichabod Crane: Regret can change the direction of your life.
- Abbie Mills: ...Or stop you from living the one you're meant to have.
- Ichabod Crane: Lieutenant... Do you have a vision of the life in store for us?
- Abbie Mills: No... All I know is that being a witness is not a 9-to-5 job--you can't punch out and go back to your three bedroom, two bath Craftsman at the end of the day. Our enemies are willing to do whatever it takes--we have to do the same to defeat them.
- Ichabod Crane: Yes, I violently agree, but we do not fight *against* something... We fight *for* something. For love, family, a life. I pray we never lose sight of what is important. Now that is what drove Kent into darkness.
