Badly written, directed and edited.

This is one of the worst adaptations I've ever seen of Hamlet. In fact Billy Shakespeare is probably spinning in his grave after this was released, I mean, err, escaped. The director shouldn't be let anywhere near this material never mind being allowed to perform it, hamming it up as the ghost, with an Elvis Presley style lip quiver. What the hell was that supposed to be anyway?

stale, flat, and unprofitable - Hamlet's First Soliloquy, Act 1, Scene 2

Poor Hamlet if he only knew how stale, flat, and unprofitable this production is. Mot of the bad productions come from minimalist and/or modernization. Wait, this is both minimalist and artsy fartsy modernization. What good is keeping iambic pentameter if it does not match the action?

For someone that has never Hamleted, Hamlet's father, the king of Denmark, is dead and his uncle marries his mother. His father's ghost returns to say they dispatched him on purpose (murder most foul) while he seeks revenge, he is also distraught with indecision. How he acts with friends and relatives to conduct his plans is the play.

This production now stands at the worst rendition so far. Maby with the exception of Taz Bear the Royal Hound.

They did leave in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. Watch Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (1990.)
