How does it feel to dedicate your whole life solely to your art, and find out at sixty-four that you have failed to gain any status in the art world, and that you have absolutely nothing? Ran Harari is a brilliant artist who lives like a dog - his unsociable personality, remote and rebellious, got him to be an outcast among the Israeli art world, just as he was at the kibbutz where he grew up and spent most of his life. He says he doesn't need people, not even as an audience for his art, but the film shows the gap between his wish for extreme liberty and his need to get recognition and support.
