When the father's truck pulled in to the gas station, the tyres were fitted with snow chains. When the truck ran off of the track, the tyres had no chains.
After hearing multiple gunshots, no rabbit in its right mind would go anywhere near the clearing where they were shooting.
When they arrive at the cabin after plunging in the lake, the older boy and the father are wrapped in blankets in front of the fire. You can clearly see the father is shirtless underneath, but when the 2 hunters enter, the dad throws off the blanket and he is wearing both of his shirts.
Even though it was apparently freezing, in the middle of falling snow, and the boys were saying how cold they were, the three protagonists walked around with open collars. Their noses did not turn red and you couldn't see their breath as they huffed and puffed along.
The two hunters' truck, stuck in what was apparently a snowstorm, had the driver's window down in every shot but the interior apparently received no snowfall.
When Dad locks the boys into the cabin's other room, it would not have been heated at all. Also, only one cot had a mattress: several times it showed the second cot, closest to the door, had no mattress on it.
There was apparently an endless supply of shotgun shells even though it was nowhere apparent that they had any supply of shells when they left the Jeep.
