Whether it's drugs, est, or a letting your hair down to a Bay City Rollers song, insight comes if you allow it.
It wasn't wine and friends night that helped anyone take a step forward on American Woman Season 1 Episode 9, even if Kathleen was pretty proud of herself for reading the est pamphlet twice. She had a lot of work to do.
Bonnie needed a few hours to herself, and Diana needed advice she could only get from -- Alan? Yep.
Diana made a pact with herself to do whatever she can to get ahead at the bank.
Then the reality of Jeff's promotion hit her square in the face when decided he no longer needed to work because his new role was to delegate. It's too bad to go back and wonder whether Diana's recent transgressions had anything to do with Jeff's promotion, but now she's stuck with it.

Over a year after they began dating, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are still smitten with each other. The sexy couple proved it when Alex posted an Instagram video on Aug. 6 during a romantic date night in Italy. In it, Jennifer's serenading him with Journey's 1981 hit, "Don't Stop Believin'."
"What did you guys think of my performance?! . #dontstopbelieving," he captioned the video. The two look dashing with Jennifer in a sexy outfit and Alex looking oh so handsome.
This isn't the first time Jennifer has serenaded her man with a Journey song. For his birthday, Alex posted a different video of Jennifer, along with a group of their friends and family, singing to Journey's "Faithfully." In the caption, he admitted to being an "'80s rock guy at heart," so it's clear Jennifer knows exactly what makes Alex happy.

Former Yankees player Alex Rodriguez must be the luckiest guy in the world because he just had a private Jennifer Lopez concert in Positano, Italy and heard his girlfriend sing an awesome cover of "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey. Thankfully, J.Lo's love later took to Instagram on Monday, Aug. 6 to share the video of Jennifer's serenade! In the cute video, Alex captured himself and Jennifer enjoying a romantic evening boat ride during which they broke out in song. Diana and Kathleen are better together than apart, but despite some fairly dark times, things were looking up for them by the end of American Woman Season 1 Episode 8.
Kathleen was having a hard time letting go not only of Greg, but the news of his sexuality, what it meant to her and about her, and Diana's keeping the news to herself.
Kathleen needs some work on her filter and her self-confidence, and if she takes the path that struck her like a ray of light at the end of "Jack," she should get some help in those areas soon.
I remember growing up the girls from Texas always finished in the top in beauty pageants.
If you were to watch Miss America or Miss USA (and all the little girls did at that time), you could count on Miss Texas to be stepping onto the stage as a finalist. It...

The Newman scoring stage at 20th Century-Fox was overflowing with people – and good will – as Ascap last night celebrated the 30th anniversary of its Film Scoring Workshop with a studio recording session for the 12 lucky young composers chosen to participate.
“This is like a window into the time continuum, where you can look into the future and see those who are going to make a real contribution to film music,” Ascap president and chairman Paul Williams said. “It’s a cultural gift in one sense, but on another level it’s a really smart business investment.”

“Long Day’s Journey Into Night,” by rising star mainland Chinese director Bi Gan has been set as the opening film of the Golden Horse Film Festival in Taiwan. The festival runs through much of November and has its high point with the Golden Horse Film Awards, which are open to films in any variant of the Chinese language.
A slow-moving love story of sorts, “Journey” debuted in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes festival earlier this year. There it was noted for a bravura 40-minute take executed in 3D.
The festival will close with another cutting-edge film, “Your Face,” by veteran Taiwan-based auteur Tsai Ming-liang. The film comprising only close-up shots will debut first in the Venice festival. Tsai’s Vr work “The Deserted” last year had a similar trajectory opening in Venice and continuing at the Golden Horse parade.

It might seem easiest to blame it on the heat, but the truth of the matter, things were a lot different only 43 years ago.
There weren't any messages or warnings included with American Woman Season 1 Episode 6, but with the world as different as it is now, it almost feels as if there should have been.
When the Paramount TV president gets fired on the night this particular episode of television airs for concerns raised about comments made by Amy Powell in a professional setting, which they believed were inconsistent with our company’s values, well, it makes any discussion about sensitive topics feel very prickly.
But maybe watching this slice of life from 43 years ago will help. I have no doubt it will also hurt. What I mean is I hope it will help the conversation even though bringing it up at all will hurt because thankfully, we've come a long way.

Def Leppard recorded a nearly note-perfect rendition of the title track of their 1987 blockbuster album Hysteria, as well as a heavy cover of Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus,” at Spotify’s recording studio for the streaming service’s “Spotify Singles” series. “Hysteria” features a little bluesier guitar soloing here and there and it lacks the gargantuan wall of vocals on the original, but it’s an otherwise faithful performance of the song, which made it to Number 10 on the Hot 100.

In its season finale, this 43rd season of Saturday Night Live went out the same way it came in: Unsure how best to tackle Trump's America. It's been a rocky road all season, and I'm not convinced it's entirely the show's fault. Pushed to huge ratings highs due to its Trump-related content in Season 42, the show had to figure out how to keep up with a world in which new events, scandals, and real-life operatic twists threatened to make each week's topical cold open stale by airtime. The show also...

The season finale of Saturday Night Live borrowed from another classic series finale as Alec Baldwin's Donald Trump and his Mueller investigation legal team reunite at a diner in a cold open sketch that reimagined the famed closing scene from The Sopranos.
Trump sits in the booth of a New Jersey diner and waits for his guests to arrive, pumping change into the table's jukebox to play Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'," which also soundtracked the much-debated final moments from the HBO mob drama.

Despite a valiant effort from returning host Tina Fey, Saturday Night Live‘s 43rd season went out with (mostly) a whimper.
Following a lackluster (and dated!) Sopranos-themed cold open, SNL rebounded with Fey’s star-studded monologue, which featured cameos by Jerry Seinfeld, Robert De Niro, Anne Hathaway, Donald Glover, Chris Rock, Benedict Cumberbatch, Fred Armisen and Tracy Morgan. The sharp, resonant bit poked fun at the show’s preference for using big-name guest stars instead of its own cast members.
Weirdly, the underwhelming episode picked up steam in the last half-hour…

Tonight’s season finale of Saturday Night Live started in the familiar Holsten’s Restaurant in Bloomfield N.J., the location of the series finale of The Sopranos. The location seems like it wouldn’t be a Trump-centric sketch, but those assumptions were immediately put to rest when Alec Baldwin comes sauntering in with his Donald Trump pout and squinty sneer. As soon as he drops a quarter in the jukebox to play Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'”, you get an idea of what this sketch is trying to accomplish…more or less. (Watch the full clip below.)

Bi Gan’s debut feature, Kaili Blues, proved one of the big critical hits of the last few years – all the more impressive for the fact that the writer-director shot it at the age of 25. His eagerly anticipated follow-up, Long Day’s Journey Into Night (no apparent relation to Eugene O’Neill’s play), represents a remake of sorts, returning to Bi’s hometown of Kaili in southern China to follow another man’s quest to find the woman he loves.
Along with narrative parallels, much of the same symbolism reappears – clocks abound – and the film is very similar even on a structural level, with a monumental single take running over most of the second half. Although Long Day’s Journey is a far more polished work than Kaili Blues, it also feels a lot more calculated, often sacrificing emotional impact for ostentation.

A legitimately intoxicating mix of narrative and experimental filmmaking within one of the most exotic locations you could ever hope to take a camera, Kaili Blues signaled the arrival of someone significant. All of which is to say no pressure on Bi Gan and his sophomore picture, Long Day’s Journey Into Night, which debuts at Cannes tomorrow and, look at that, is our most-anticipated title in a festival that’s gathered some of today’s most significant cinematic figures. Blame the amazing stills.

Beta invitations for “Sky,” the next game from “Journey” developer Thatgamecompany, are being sent out to players now on iOS and AppleTV, ResetEra member Francesco reports.
Thatgamecompany currently hasn’t said anything about the beta invitations. But, judging by the ResetEra post, replies and images from the game, invitations are being sent out via email. Prospective players can request early access to the game on the developer’s website.
While there aren’t many details about the game in the thread, original poster Francesco did reveal the game requires iOS firmware 8.0 or later to run. Additionally, only one other user in the thread writes that the game is “beautiful, but there is too much bloom.”

This mashup of Journey and Beyonce isn’t all that weird really, in fact it sounds like something you’d hear in the club as part of the house mix. It’s not a bad mix really but I was hoping to hear Beyonce step in somewhere or rather be inserted. Instead it seems as though the beat to one of Beyonce’s songs, don’t ask me which, was laid over Journey’s song and then the DJ just went at it. That seems almost like false advertising to be honest unless Beyonce’s voice was mashed in there somewhere and was too low to hear.

Adam Levine has won three of his 13 seasons as a coach on “The Voice.” He propelled Javier Colon to victory in the first season and then did so again with Tessanne Chin in season 5. However, his last win was back in season 9 when Jordan Smith took the title. Levine’s long-time rival, Blake Shelton, has coached six winners, including reigning champ Chloe Kohanski.
Levine, who mentored the season 13 runner-up Addison Agen, has a chance to exact his revenge on Shelton this season. The first step on the road to victory is the battle rounds, which begin on March 19. He must decide which six of his 12 artists to take through to the next round, the knockouts. To help Levine make these tough choices, he has brought in country music star Julie Michaels as an advisor.
We have done some digging and discovered the match-ups of the 12 artists on Team Adam Levine.

While the bulk of the Nintendo Direct was focused on upcoming Nintendo Switch titles, 3Ds/2Ds console players still have things to look forward to with these newly announced titles. Come inside to check them out!
Sure, the Nintendo Switch may seem like it's putting the 3Ds console family out of business, being that it too is, essentially, a handheld machine. Regardless, Nintendo is still dedicated to bringing new game experiences to the systems and have announced some sweet new titles, including a "new" WarioWare and a remake of the original Luigi's Mansion!
WarioWare Gold: The frenetic WarioWare series is back, and for the first time it’s on Nintendo 3Ds! With 300 fast-paced microgames that can be controlled by pressing buttons, tilting the system, tapping the touch screen or using the microphone, WarioWare Gold is the biggest entry in the series. And for the first time, the game includes fully voiced characters.
