"Tatakau! Shoten Girl" (2015) ("Fight Bookstore Girl" in English) starring Mayu Watanabe (AKB48 singer idol) as feisty 23 yr old bookstore employee, Aki Kitamura, who is transferred to the Kichijoji branch of bookstore Pegasus along with Mita Takahiko (Yudai Chiba of Super Sentai) which is struggling with losing sales to online booksellers like Amazon. It shows her clashing with 40 yr old assistant manager, Riko Nishioka (Izumi Inamori) with totally different generational outlook with opposite personalities and values, to what to do to save their store. Also shows their struggles with both their love lives! Her first fight with the asst manager was when she assigned her to the Manga section when she wanted so badly to be assigned to the Children's section which she loves. Next Aki proposes for the use of point-of-purchase material for more promotion of the books based on the advise of a customer but Riko is totally against that new idea since her generation does not like making new changes to make more sales. Meanwhile, publishing company's sales representative, Shunsuke Shibata (Tomoharu Hasegawa) her secret boyfriend, who she hasn't seen much because he has been so busy with work lately, comes to Aki with his deputy editor, Obata Nobumitsu (Shunsuke Daito ). Just when she is feeling insecure, Shibata tells her, "I have something important to say to you," and Shibata finally proposes to Riko which upset her so she consults with her colleague, Shiho Ozaki (Mari Hamada), about Shibata. Told by a stranger, Tashiro Toshiyuki ( Seiichi Tanabe) "You're lucky to get a proposal" (implying at her age), who just happened to be seated next to them at a restaurant that they are regular customer, causing the now drunk Riko to pick a fight with him.
